Where to begin with this guy. Pretty much everything you don’t want to find in a contractor. Dishonest, rude, won’t back up his work if there’s a problem, and a bit thick headed; I’ll explain everything below. First I’ll start with the issue that was the final straw for me. I had him build a metal balcony with a spiral staircase to the roof. He hired out the work to some really nice guys who worked their butts off, but spoke as good of english as I speak spanish; no bueno. Whenever there was an issue with the work (which there was plenty of), the welders and I had a very difficult time speaking with each other. When I would call the contractor about this issue, he would blow it off and encourage me to keep trying to communicate with them, in was infuriating how unprofessional he was. There were some immediate problems with with the design of the stairs, something the contractor did not go over with me before work began, the railing to the stairs were 36 inches high, five inches shorter than what is code in the state of PA. Just eyeballing the railing there was clearly something very wrong (and very dangerous) with how low the railing was. When he saw it, at first, he acted like nothing was wrong with the height until I referred him to what the minimum height was according to PA code. Anyway, the railing had to be redone; also some extra support had to be put on the platform because it bowed a bit when standing in between the supports. What this meant was extra welding. The balcony had already been painted so now there were parts that were not protected. Not being a professional contractor myself, I did not notice this until a week after I had paid him for the finished work when the balcony started showing rust. I contacted him several times, even sending him pictures of the rust. When he finally did contacting me when I threatened some sort of action, he said he would have “his guy” come and take a look at it the next week- he never came. The parts where he was rude and a bit thick headed are kind of two side of the same coin. He would occasionally come into my property without announcing himself. I do not live in the greatest neighborhood, so I asked him on several occasions not to do it. Also, all the workers he hired spoke only Spanish; when we would be discussing the work he would go into a full conversation about what they were planning without discussing what he had planned. Bottom line is that none of the work I asked paid for was what we had verbally agreed to.

Everything went very well and I am very pleased with their work. They are very efficient and were good with the oversight of the job. They managed and coordinated all of the electrical and plumbing trading and everything was handled very professionally. I would hire them again.

Feliciano was quite simply the most detail-oriented general contractor I have worked with in my renovating career. I recently purchased a row home in Philadelphia that needed a full rehab/renovation from the smallest re-pointing jobs to adding master bathroom suites I have never felt more confident that it was being done correct and with the best finishes available.  After first meeting with Feliciano I knew I was in good hands.  He showed me his work at a few other jobs he was finishing up on with big time developers and these were large projects.  After seeing the sharp finishes he installed I was ready to see his numbers for  my job. After approximately 48 hours he provided an excellent all encompassing proposal for the work. We agreed on terms.  <br /> Within a day we began what became my best relationship with a contractor yet.  His team hustles 6 days a week  and never took a short cut.  When he felt I was making a potential mistake with a finish he spoke up, explaining what he thought would help me sell in that particular area.  Seeing this told me he takes his business very personal and he has a unmatched passion for his clients and the properties he renovates. He had his very organized team at the job everyday and we finished within 3 months. Time is money for both of us and 3 months turn time is unprecedented for the amount of work we scheduled.  As a business owner myself I was impressed with the respect his employees give to him and more importantly they gave to me,  the customer. <br /> I could go on and on about his craftsmanship and finishes but I want to make sure he's available for my next reno!!
