Refresh & Build

We just bought our condo and my wife and I wanted to do upgrades before we moved in. Even before getting the keys, the project manager Paul accepted to meet with us to get a sense of the types of designs we wanted and also get a ballpark price of the remodel. My wife and I felt very comfortable with Paul, he mentioned that he will help with the permitting and inspections and help choose all the finishes like tiles and counters ..etc. The price was great, the work was awesome, the crew showed up every day and did an excellent job. Lucio, the forman was asking us how we would like things, like height of shower head, the layout of the tiles and that actually made me very happy. Customer service was amazing, they picked all the materials we purchased online and all the inspections were passed. We had to move to relocate during the remodel and they used zoom to update us about the progress. We are enjoying our kitchen and two bathrooms. We recommended Refresh and Build to our parents and friends and they're very happy too.

We wanted to build a new ADU in the basement of our building in San Francisco, then we called again Sam from Refresh and Build, to build one kitchen, two bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms. They gave us a very reasonable price, then applied for the permit and Sam told us it'll be best to do the retrofitting since they were digging to have the 8' ceiling anyway. so they applied for the permit for that too, They strengthened the foundation, installed all new electrical circuits throughout the floor and new plumbing and new drainage system and passed all rough inspections with flying colors. Then installed all the walls, patched and painted, installed kitchen cabinets, countertops, backsplash, tiling the bathroom floors, and tub and shower areas, and the all the fixtures, Everything went smoothly and clear communication and well competent team. We have now happy tenants that love the place and we are happy too! I'd highly recommend Refresh&Build and their crews.

The team was professional, courteous, and quality of work was top notch. R&B was flexible with last minute changes we had and accommodating when it came to early finish dates to help our family move in. I would absolutely recommend R&B in the future.

First of all, remodeling a home in which we have lived in over 35 years was a daunting process. We had heard plenty of nightmare stories from friends. After searching and interviewing over 6 companies who came to my home, I was feeling very discouraged. I was exhausted, confused and never once was supported for staying within my budget. Instead, everyone BEFORE Refresh and Build, made me feel like I wasn't worth their time if I didn't spend twice what I could afford. then, I found REFRESH AND BUILD..WOW!!!! IT WAS LIKE FINALLY, I CAN TRUST THIS COMPANY. Sam, the project manager comes to your home, ON TIME !!!!! stays as long as is needed, truthfully answers questions, brain storms creatively and gives you time to understand the process from start to finish. The workers are amazingly trained, highly skilled and were ALWAYS ON TIME!!! Sam would weekly check in to see if we were happy with the progress. We were never alone with this project, always listened to, and basically treated like valued clients. DONT WATE YOUR TIME CALLING AROUND ONLY TO BE HUSTLED TO UPGRADE EVEN THOUGH YOU CANT AFFORD IT!! REFRSH AND BUILD IS THE BEST, MOST AMAZING COMPANY IN THE BAY.

After doing some research on Angie’s List, Thumbtack and Yelp and consulting with several contractors, we received several proposals, refresh and build caught our eyes. It was very professional and very clear, not just a price tag, also the company is licensed and have the proper paperwork to get the proper permits So we decided to move forward with Refresh and Build, they were quick in getting us the permit and they started a week after signing the home improvement contract. The whole project only took month, everything was done like scheduled, there was no delays, communication was perfect. The quality of work is outstanding, there was not chipped tile or unlined grout lines, the cabinet were installed perfectly and all the inspections were passed.

After 4 estimates from different general contractors for gutting & redoing our interior, adding an extension & rooftop deck.... we were filled with stories of complications, long delays (like 6 months of construction) and very high estimates that carried no guarantee of what it might actually cost in the end. We chose who seemed most reasonable & the first 2 weeks we just felt like we were being milked. The contractor spent more time explaining problems than offering & implementing solutions. THEN CAME Refresh and Build :) We decided to split the jobs between renovations & new construction & hired Refresh & Build for the new construction. The contrast of work progress & enthusiasm was unbelievable. Within a week the team took over, completed EVERYTHING in 2.5 months at half the budget others had given us. I highly recommend Refresh & Build!

He did a great job and was very reasonable with his pricing. The replacement required more pipework than initially expected. They were up to the task and went the extra mile to make sure that the new pipework was up to standard and would be easier to maintain over time. They kept their work area very clean and was flexible with any change requests. Overall great service and value for money!

It went very well for an office space, Sam and his crew performed an awesome work. He helped us with the permits and choosing materials. Right after the demolition, they worked to upgrade plumbing and electrical, then they called for rough inspections, the inspections passed with flying colors, then the installation of the cabinets, counters, and flooring was very fast and professionally done. They also passed final inspection with flying colors.

They did an outstanding job! The kitchen turned out exactly the way we wanted it. They were very professional; both the work involved and the payment schedule were discussed in detail and written in the contract. Sam stayed in touch constantly to make sure everything was being done the way we wanted. His great sense of design and knowledge of current products was extremely helpful. He took care of all permits we needed. Both Sam and Oscar were aware of current regulations and codes and worked accordingly. Besides his expert workmanship, Oscar was always on time and stayed at least a full day. He is a true craftsman with such a wide knowledge of construction. There were so many small touches that we wouldn't have thought of that really made a difference. During the entire process, we and our home were treated with respect. Both men are very courteous and a pleasure to work with. Construction is always hard to live through, but they made it as effortless as possible. Any changes that were needed were discussed ahead of time so we always knew what was happening. The house was always left clean at the end of the day. We definitely plan to use them again when we remodel our bathrooms.

So far, so good. The stove is amazing and the drawers allow us to use every inch space. Honestly, we have so much shelving and drawer space we should probably go shopping for new accessories. I never thought I would see the day, but this remodel solved all our needs

The remodeling of the bathroom turned out exceptional and we are extremely pleased with the work and price. Definitely plan to use Refresh & Build again the future for other projects around our home - small and large.

Refresh & Build helped me transform my unfinished basement into a true extension of my home. Jason was on top of everything. The crew was very reliable, and flexible with a few last minute design decisions I wanted to integrate in. The timelines were realistic, and Jason helped explain how my changes would impact the overall project. I haven’t done a lot of remodeling, so it was nice to have their crew walk me through all the different steps so I always had a sense of what was going on. I was very impressed by their expertise, and plan to use them again for smaller projects. I couldn’t be happier with my finished space and quality of their work.

First time doing any remodeling in my house, my wife and I have been looking contractors for months to do our kitchen. We called refresh & build. Sam shows up a day after. He walked us through the steps of the remodeling process before mentioning anything about costs. He didn’t push us to sign on the spot or anything, instead later that day he sent us a very descriptive proposal and a thorough list of all the suppliers for the finish materials. We did our homework, we ordered everything prior. We had several bids and Refresh & build stood up to be the best price with the most details proposal so we went ahead with them Sam got us the permits (which a hustle if you’re doing it yourself), the remodeling went very smoothly, all inspections had passed. Our kitchen is completely remodeled and we are enjoying it. We have our master bathroom to do and we’re totally doing it with Refresh.
