Rightway Waterproofing is the company you want to come and waterproof your basement. I had initially set up a job looking for pros through Angie's List. I was contacted by Rightway Waterproofing via phone and email but did not respond as life happens. Well it rained really heavy again in August and I had more water in the basement. I reached out to them on a Friday and Albert contacted me immediately. They were able to come out on Monday to look at my property. Jake was thorough and friendly. He let me know what he thought we needed, explained everything thoroughly and gave us a quote which was completely reasonable. We accepted the bid and work was to commence on Thurs as they had an opening. Work was completed in one day. The area was kept pristine and they did an amazing job. The crew was courteous to my family. I could not recommend them more. I hope to have them out again at some point to finish my basement area as well. Try to keep in mind that during the season of covid many families are looking for ways to make more space in their homes or to have to home projects done. If you are waiting for work to be done just know that it is worth it! Thanks Rightway!!!

Initial scheduling was a little difficult (very busy time for them), but Dan, the service tech was prompt and professional. I recommend them without reservation.

All went well except for one misunderstanding, which I covered with another subcontractor. Project, as finished, is/will be almost completely invisible, which they went out of their way to help me accomplish. Very happy with price and job. And, most important, my basement is now dry!

I got 3 estimates and this company was the best price. From the free estimate to completion of work, everything was so professional. They showed up on time with a 7-man crew, so the job was completed in one day. Six years after the job was done, my basement is still bone dry - so dry it actually gets dusty! My crawlspace is so low a person can only crawl around, but they did a great job there, as well, installing a thick white vapor barrier.

I wrote a negative review of Rightaway after having a disappointing experience involving a ~$4k mold remediation+sump pump installation job, during which the firm broke a pipe and failed to repair it properly, according to two plumbers who came out afterwards. I noticed the problem a few months later when I rechecked the crawlspace after my backup sump pump battery alarm went off following some heavy rains. We had Rightaway out again that point (Al arranged the visit of one of his colleagues while he himself was on vacation) and were told by Al that we’d get an estimate for waterproofing the area as a second job. He also denied responsibility for what we believe was a poor repair job of the pipe. After a month of texts with Al, the owner, we hadn’t received an estimate. I should note that Al was very responsive via texts during this time and gave reasons for the delay. For example, he told me over text once that he did not have the right phone number or email address for us. After being solicited by Rightaway for a review on Angies list, I posted a very negative review and Al immediately contacted me and insisted he come out and provide us with another estimate. After I asked, he also agreed to reimburse us for the repair job we’d had done on the pipe; that repair had cost ~$300.00. Al then came out to the house. He told us he’d mail us the reimbursement, send us an estimate for a new waterproofing job, and give us references of people for whom the company had honored their warranty in the past. He emailed us the estimate that day and then mailed the check the following week. However, that next week, he said he didn’t want to provide us with a reference unless he was assured that we would go with his firm for the new job, because he didn’t want to bother past clients for a reference, essentially, that wouldn’t lead to another job. Over text, he said that if I was waiting for a reference to change my review on Angie’s List, then I should go ahead and leave up my initial negative review, and that he would then post all of our text exchanges because I was not being fair and honest. At this point I called him and he explained (as I just did) why he didn’t want to provide a reference. I told him I would change my review to reflect all of our communication since early February, and that’s what I’m doing now. Al is very responsive to texts and calls, and he seems very knowledgeable about his craft and plumbing. Indeed, when he came out to our house personally, he was very convincing and I was considering re-hiring him despite the prior frustrations. I am also impressed that he cares enough about his reputation to insist upon coming to our house, offering a solution to the problem, and reimbursing us for the cost we incurred repairing that pipe. However, based on our last exchange, regarding the texts and the lack of a reference unless we went with his company, I decided against rehiring the company. I've decided I'm not hiring any future new work without a very thorough reference review. As I’ve said, the firm is very responsive in terms of communication and seems to know their business; I would just not go with them again personally based on my experience.

A professional job from start to finish. Al and Don stepped me through the entire process before hand. I’ve had a few storms since then and thankfully not a drop in the basement.

It went great. We had our system installed in 2011. It took two days and we haven't had water in our basement and crawlspace since. Right Way Waterproofing did what I thought could never be done. They follow up every year and clean and check our system. I couldn't be happier. It has been the best home investment I ever made.

They did the entire basement (complete perimeter "french drain", 2 sump pumps, etc). Al and his crew were phenomenal. Professional, clean (which is something for this type of work), and responsible. His crew came to work, knocking out everything in less than 2 days. I like to do things correctly and only once. While he was not the cheapest, his name says it all - it was done the RIGHT WAY. His services were second to none including the expert advice. The only company I will ever use and he is the only establishment you should consider.

Bob Steck did the estimate and later the work, sending us pictures and explanations for his recommendations every step of the way. He was reliable, honest, and communicated very well. Could not be more pleased.

The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . Bob Steck was very responsive, funny and thorough. Their team was very professional. Did the work just as promised - no issues with dust and dirt during and after the job). They started and finished on time ( took 2-days). The concrete is almost completely dry and have had one heavy rain so far- we are Very impressed by their work. Highly recommended.

Every time it rained we would get water in our garage and basement. Thought about getting water proof system installed for years and finally got it done with Rightway. We have had 2 serious rains since the system was installed and have not had a drop in our basement.
If you have the same issues as us i highly recommend you finally get it done and use Rightway and you will not regret it.
It went well. Bob Steck the representative was very knowledgeable and responsive and won my trust immediately. I would give the job an A all around except for one disappointment. The crew, who were genial and polite, thought they were finished when I pointed out that no wall patching had been done even though it was in the contract. This brought on some grumbling which, though understandable, I did not appreciate. They patched the wall as required but I suspect they did this more hastily than they might have otherwise. When I came back I found that the clean-out valve, exit pipe, soil pipe and window sill were covered in cement splotches. This is an aesthetic quibble but it soured a job otherwise well-done. I think if they had taken just a little more time on the wall and to clean up, I would have been perfectly satisfied. It hasn't rained since the installation, but the French drain itself looks good to go. I would recommend them.

Rightway Waterproofing did great work. The head of the crew (Peco) in particular was an amazing person to work with and he went above and beyond to complete the job - coming back to reinstall the washer and dryer that had been moved to install the French drain and working really hard to ensure everything was operational when he left. Very happy with the work.

It went ok but they did not complete the job on the pipe outside. They were not punctual and left the pipe on the side of the house. Promised to come back and cannot get him to come back.
Response from Rightway Waterproofing Co
"Customer is requesting the sump pump discharge line outside be extended beyond the normal length. This is an additional cost and was not included in her contract (that she signed and has a copy of). It has been explained to her in person that her discharge was installed as per the contract."

This is the first job they did for us but they also did my friends house. The are a top notch outfit that is very fair with the price, extremely clear and very professional. They were in and out in 2 days and my water problems are solve. They are now giving me an estimate for a foundation crack repair. Great company.

I'll start off by saying that Right Way originally installed an interior french drain for us in 2003. Soon after we had our basement finished. From that time on we never had to worry about a flooded basement. It was a big job and they were awesome! When our sump pump started making noises last week, I called in the morning and Al came out that day. He fixed our issue then had another installer came back out the following day to install a new backup system. I would highly recommended these guys!
I can't recommend these guys enough. We found them through friends of our who had work done at their home and couldn't be more satisfied. From the first meeting it was clear that their goal was doing thing right. There was no pressure to purchase. The sales rep gave me all the info and options and left my wife and I to discuss. After getting several other quotes I knew they would be the best option. The materials they use are good quality and they pointed out structural considerations that no other company mentioned.
On the day of service, the Rightway crew showed up on time and ready to work. The job foreman introduced himself and walked through the basement with me to make sure everyone was on the same page. We reviewed the scope of the job as described on the work order and he made some modifications. For example he noticed that they could fit the system behind the hot water heater rather than having to work around it. I had been made aware that some modifications could be made once the crew was on site so this wasn't a surprise. From arrival to departure the job took approximately 6 hrs. The basement was broom cleaned (exactly as advertised) and we were just left to wait for the concrete to cure.
After a few weeks with the system, we noticed a little water coming up through a few cracks in the slab. These cracks were existing and had nothing to do with Rightway, but the came back out and sealed the cracks as well as a patch of fresh concrete they installed. Since then the basement has been bone dry. It has been almost a year since the system was installed. We have been through all seasons and have not had a single issue. We already recommended Rightway to our neighbors for work in their basement and would recommend them to anyone else who has a wet basement.
