About us

We are a small family owned and operated heating and air conditioning business. We strive to provide 100% customer satisfaction from the time you contact our office to job completion. All our technicians are EPA certified some are NATE certified. We know that knowledge is power and therefore are continually attending training classes to be able to provide fast, accurate and affordable service to you, the customer that has placed trust in our company. We currently have four full time technicians. We do not subcontract our installations because we feel that you have called on us because of a previous experience or you have read some our reviews and want to experience our service for yourself. We stand behind every installation or repair/service that we perform. Every installation has a minimum of One year labor warranty. We also offer extended labor and part warranties for some brand specific installations. Our Business Privilege License is 42311 and our PAHIC (Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor)001360. We have invested a lot of time to be able to provide you our customer with fair repair and maintenance prices. Three years ago we started working off a flat rate book...what that means to you is that you are being charge by repair and not by the time that it takes us to perform such repair we will charge all our customers the same price for the same repair. We provide annual maintenance contracts that provides with an annual tune up and maintenance to your heating and/or cooling system as well as providing a 15% discount for all your future repairs as a token of appreciation for your business. R&R response time was amazing! The technician was professional and a specialist in his field. He took great care cutting open our wall, located the leaky pipe with no problem. He insulated the pipe. Superbly.. Mr. John Soto is an expert at his work, completely knowledgeable, quick, efficient, innovative. It doesn't get any better than this. Prompt diagnosis, totally arranged the replacement, handled the warranty issue, obtained the correct replacement and the sensing equipment I requested. Additionally, the office--Vicki & Rosa are totally versed in the business, know exactly what is needed, can answer all of your questions without having to ask someone else. Plus, email updates, phone updates. John needs a promotion and a raise.

Ramon got the part next day & installed no problem. My impression of him is that he is very intelligent, very considerate & very good at what he does. His wife, Rosa, handles the business and is also delightful. I heard of R & R from another satisfied client from Merion, and would recommend them to anybody. I wasn't happy the job cost so much, but that was because the part was expensive. Ramon charges the going rate, not a problem. They were fast to respond. I'm glad they work in the near western suburbs since the business is in town – I'm in Havertown.

I have used R and R in the past so I am very familiar with the quality of their work. I was very happy with the work that was done. I have 3 young children and last week when it started getting hot, we finally decided to turn the A/C on. It ran for a day and then nothing, we called on Tuesday the 10th and we were able to get an appt. Thursday morning. Usually this time of year when the temp changes you are not able to get appts. that fast. Ramone came out, fix the problem and we are up and running. The gentleman who came was very nice, polite, professional, kept everything clean and was knowledgeable about steam systems. He was here maybe 1.25 hours. I was originally quoted $135 to $180 by the lady on the phone for the work, and did pay the higher price, which he said was in part due to the cost of a cleaner he added (although on-line, I found the cleaner to cost only about $10). However, he did fix an important gauge for us, I think by just scraping off the contacts, instead of selling us a new one, so that was great. And we know he did a great job because our pipes don't clang, i.e., the steam is running through the lines without hitting air pockets. Thank you Rand R. <br />

We had a complete overhaul of our AC/heating system upon their recommendation. From day one there were constant issues. The installers were nice but the customer service was completely lousy. When Winter came around and the heating went on there were issues - and similarly when the Summer came around too there were A/C issues (not fun with a baby in the house). The customer service had no manners and were downright rude. If something isn't installed properly and the servicer says so then why should we have to deal with it for a brand new entire system. At the time of install we were days away form having a baby and they never followed up to say we should get a maintenance plan. I have had nothing but issues with their whole system and again the customer <br /> service was woeful. I would never recommend Rand R to anyone - buyer beware. <br /> Dr. B. Keating <br />

I use them through my home warranty program. I call the warranty company and they call Rand R. They come out with in 24 hours. They are efficient and prompt. They come and do what they need to do.
