"Excellent quality of work on 2-day job. 2-man crew was courteous & efficient, clean-up was perfect. They didn’t want any $ up front or even upon completion, but sent an invoice a week or so later. Price was on the high side, but worth it for quality of work. Would hire again."

"Lowry Roofing went above our expectations on every level.  <br /> I had <strong>no</strong> prior knowledge or awareness of Lowry Roofing, who they were, or the quality of their work. In fact, I'd never heard of them. Yet we did need a roof, but I'll admit, I was hesitant, just from not knowing who they were.  <br /> So, I did quite a bit of online research on roofing scams before offering the job to Lowry Roofing. I actually even paid for a subscription to Angie's List just so that I could read reviews on Lowry Roofing!! <br /> I figured that being out a little money was well worth it if their reviews were poor. I spent probably 2 hours online looking at reviews, "how to avoid roofing scams" websites, Better Business Bureau sites, etc.  <br /> <em>Why We Chose Them Instead Of Bids From Other Roofing Companies: </em> <br /> <strong>Intense Professionalism.</strong> Every single one of their employees carried themselves with honor and class. They came to our door with shirts tucked in, they were well-spoken, and had a look and feel that let me know they were serious about what they do and that they took pride in their work.  <br /> <strong>Communication.</strong> Justin Lowry (owner) could not have communicated the workflow any better than they did. They were humble and sincere. From text messages, phone calls, and personal appearances, they kept our family 100% in the loop at all times; almost daily actually. Justin came to our multiple times to keep us informed. Moreover, they communicated with us in terms of what to expect in this process as far as how claims work, what to expect in terms of paperwork with our agent, adjuster, how payment works, and so on.  <br /> <strong>No Sub-Contractors.</strong> Lowry is a rare breed, now that I've done some homework about roofing companies. Most roofers use sub-contractors to actually put the roof on the home. An owner bids the job, and then hires subs to do it. <br /> Not Lowry. They have paid employees. The difference is massive, because subs, while often doing good work, can be inconsistent in terms of job completion, skill level, various levels of experience, etc. By using the same people, Lowry has a true team. It made all the difference.  <br /> <strong>Advocacy With The Insurance Company.</strong> I think this area, specifically, is what separated Lowry Roofing from other groups I know of in the roofing world. I am convinced that Lowry Roofing's work in this area is the major reason why we got our roof claim successfully filed with our insurance agent.  <br /> Here's the quick backstory: for the past two years we've had roofers come by our home speaking of potential storm damage, so we thought we'd better go ahead and file a claim. About 18 months ago, we filed a claim and our adjuster said our roof was fine and saw no real reason to replace it. However, several different roofing companies since that time have said we did in fact have enough damage to file a claim.  <br /> When Justin came to my door, they said, " <strong><em>No matter what you do, never have an adjuster out to your home unless you have a roofer on-site. Not because insurance companies are corrupt, because they are not all that way; it's just that with a roofer on hand, they must justify everything to you with a roofer present in the conversation who can advocate for you and give you their opinion of what the adjuster is offering." </em></strong> <br /> I'm telling you, that's what did it. <br /> Our adjuster was great, and we've been with our insurance agent for 17 years, but this time, with this claim, everything went so smoothly. Lowry Roofing gave us peace of mind that we had an advocate, standing between us and an insurance corporation, and that they would do everything they could to make this a smooth process.  <br /> <strong>Under-Promise and Over-Deliver</strong>. Justin Lowry never, ever promised me a roof. He never promised anything other than that they would do their best. They said they would do their best to help with working with an insurance agent and adjuster. They never made huge promises, but they did ask me that "if we can work with the adjuster to advocate for you, then would you give us the job if the claim is successful?" My response was, "Absolutely."   <br /> Once the job was finished, we were more than pleased. They over-delivered on quality, work flow, communication, and even clean up. Our yard looked super upon cleanup; it was as if they were never there.  <br /> If I had it to do again, I'd never, ever hesitate to have them put a roof over my family's head."

"It went exceedingly well. When the job was bid they told us up front that they were scheduled for the next four weeks. It ended up being seven weeks but we had a long stretch of very bad weather over which they had no control. They estimated that it would take three days  and by working some long hours they met that schedule. Cleanup was done on a daily basis and then one final sweep upon completion. Very happy with the roof and the workmanship."

"As always, PERFECTION! I have had QE Restoration do work for me in the past. I called for repairs on another property and they remembered me from before. They were out the next day and provided the same excellent customer service and attention. I asked if they could look over a newly purchased property at their earliest convenience. We immediately drove over, Austin looked over the roof and found no issues and did not charge me a dime. Thanks Austin! The work performed on 2nd location: Quality performance as before ( :"

"<p>Ground Zero did a top-notch job from start to finish! It is rare these days to be inspired to write a positive review, so let me dive in with the details:<br /> 1. Sales - I visited their showroom in South OKC. Alicia was very friendly and knowledgeable about the shelters. I'm an engineer by trade and had many geeky engineering questions; Alicia was able to answer every question I had about the construction and design. She walked me through how the entire process is handled, and even described OKC's building permit process.  Was so impressed that I made the purchase on-the-spot.  The price I indicated ($2300) was a sales price for the "smaller" shelter, so your price may vary.  <br /> 2. Permits/Pre-Install:  Ground Zero provided pre-filled forms for the building permit. If you live in OKC you can go online and apply, then fax the forms. They (the City) will call you back for your CC number and give you the permit number (which you provide back to Ground Zero.   Ground Zero people followed up with me four days before install to ensure that everything was on-track.<br /> 3.  Installation:  Here is where Ground Zero hit it out of the park. I have to admit I was nervous about the install, as I've had more than a few installations that were total nightmares. My installers - Raul (Installer) and Xavier (Helper) were on time, ready to start immediately, and were very polite and professional.  Since I had a Pre-Tensioned Slab we had to call Suncoast to cut /re-anchor the cables latticed underneath the slab, this caused Raul and Xavier some minor delay and re-marking, but both of them worked seamlessly with Suncoast with the modifications and everything quickly was back on track.  Raul quickly had the slab cut and dirt removed within 1.5 hours, he was able to finesse the mini-excavator like a pro, probably could use it to pick up toothpicks if he wanted. Xavier was constantly moving and took care of the 1000 other smaller tasks, Raul and Xavier worked together like clockwork and rarely needed to talk.   When they were done they cleaned EVERYTHING, not a spot of mud anywhere inside or on the driveway, Raul used the pressure washer for a good 30 minutes just on the driveway.  While Raul hauled the dirt away, Xavier finished the troweling on the cement backfill leaving it with a nice raised feathering that looks very professional.   NEVER in four hours on site did I see either gentleman take a break to loaf, they were constantly moving and working non-stop. <br /> I'm very pleased with the professionalism of the Ground Zero Team from Start to Finish, and pleased with the final product.   No, I'm not a "shill" nor do I work for Ground Zero. I am just one consumer that is tired of writing bad reviews for bad service, and pleased for once to be able to write an outstanding Review!</p> <br />"

"Ernie Haas provided a very thorough examination of our roof which enabled us (after much back and forth with our roofer (DCF Contracting)) to ensure that all necessary and required repairs were made to our roof. Mr. Haas stayed in contact with us for more than a month to ensure that any questions or issues we had were addressed."

"Awesome job on the gutters. I just LOVE seamless gutters and the leaf guard over the top!! No more leaf removal anymore! WOO HOO! Water flows off our roof in the right spots- - down the corners and NOT over the edge of the middle of the gutters. RBS eliminated some middle drain spouts (middle of the house) and installed larger/ better sized gutters so that the water would flow out and down on the corners of the house. This was important for our septic drain field as well oddly. We'd been drenching our field with water off the house and had septic issues as a result. Now the water flows away from the septic field as well. They also repaired some damage on the roof from the massive hail that came down that day though that was small stuff. Reliable gets 5 STARS on this project! Thanks a TON."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Adamsville, TN

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
