"Jason called me back within 24 hours to set the initial appointment to survey the work area. He came out to inspect the work to be done that very same week. He provided an estimate for the work and allowed time for my mother and I to review his photos to finalize a design pattern and color. He left an estimate with us and when we called him back the next day to hire him, he let us know the approximate month he would be able to start. So much is dependent upon the weather for these types of projects, but he was true to his word and called us when he was ready to start. He and his team pulled up the old patio pavers in the rain. When the weather cleared, he and his team were immediately back to set the forms, poor the concrete and stamp the pattern. Jason was always around to check on his team. The patio was done as promised with all the rain we have had. He even took time to carefully protect the plants surrounding the patio. My mother has Alzheimer's and he did a fabulous job assuring her and his workers never created any anxiety for her while they worked. Jason is also redoing my walkway and porch and I am sure his workmanship will be as wonderful as my mom's new patio! <br />"

"Excellent! Dave and his crew were professional in every way. They arrived when they said they would and completed all the work in a very timely manner. The yard and worksite was cleaned up each night prior to leaving for the day. The wall is beautiful and exactly what we requested. Definitely will have Dave and The Lawn Care Company do our future work!"

"Cousin's Construction was the best price. Despite having to dodge the rainy October weather, they were able to complete my roof replacement as scheduled. The crew worked quickly and efficiently."

"My property was listed for sale during the late fall/winter months.  Realtors needed access to the property for showings with very little notice.  Scott and his team kept the property in good condition through the winter months by plowing and sanding a steep drive and clearing snow and ice by the road, routinely checking mechanical systems in the house and performing light cleaning.  My house is sold now and I referred SFH to the new owners.  I wish Scott and SFH all the best!"

"They did a spectacular job considering what they had to work with when they started. The roof is exceptional. I don't have any leaks and I don't have roof shingles blowing off in my yard or the neighbors' yard; it is wonderful. The thing that I was most impressed was that they cleaned up after they were done. These guys went out and made sure that the nails were up and everything. I was just very pleased. I have recommended them to a friend. The price included the tear off of the old roof. At some places there were three to four layers of roofing shingles thick and there was a layer of wood shakes. People had just gone over and over it. I was way beyond the village code, but I bought the house like that. It leaked and I tarred it until I got enough money to get the roof done. They also insulated over the porch for me. They did the garage roof as well. I absolutely had no complaints. I had a lot of people into my house to do work. This was the first group of people that I have had here that did what they promised and cleaned up their mess. I had no problems and no need to call them back. I got prices from several other people. They weren't the cheapest, but they were right down there. It was a fair price. They had it done when they said they would have it done."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Adirondack, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
