"We considered hardscaping our aging back yard and pool area for some time. System Pavers was one of the top of our list from my search. After we met a System Pavers rep at a commercial fair and discussed some of the aspects of what we wanted, I contacted them for an interview and evaluation. Patrick (Designer) came to our house fully prepared, discussed our desires, measured, took pictures, and came up with a preliminary plan. He went back to his office and prepared a very nice graphic design of suggestions and pricing. We reviewed the design and prices and returned to him with our budget. After discussions, he made further design changes to our liking and suggested we visit their warehouse to pick out pavers. We were dumfounded at the huge warehouse of many outdoor designs - fully built out! After sending us to another warehouse where we picked out our pool coping pavers, we were set. Upon signing contracts, our system project manager, Derek, met with us at our house to view what was needed. A contractor team led by Alex began work on a mutual date. What these guys did was nothing short of amazing. From the demo to the final stages of setting pavers, their meticulous work shined through. Derek kept in contact throughout the work visiting us several times to review things with me and Alex. As expected we had to make some adjustments during the project discovering piping and existing decking. Alexs team of hard workers were courteous and friendly working tirelessly each day with the utmost attention to details and total respect for our property. From beginning to end, our System Pavers team was accommodating - working with us to every detail (including budget) to an absolutely gorgeous end-product. "Hired for $75k curb appeal project including installation of foundation water barrier to prevent water into basement, replacement of front yard with concrete patio, new concrete steps from porch to street, install retaining wall (I'm on hill), section of astro-turf, landscape the remaining areas with drip irrigation, installation of new redwood fence, painting the house, and pouring new concrete driveway. They were good on big stuff: concrete, excavation, driveway, painting house, new fence. Unfortunately took 12 weeks instead of 6 week estimate. Recommend being as specific as possible in written contract, with itemized tasks and due dates. I should have gotten written agreement stating exactly when payments would be due. Happy with finished project but took all summer and had some minor mis-communications that were painful at the time."

"So, first off, Mr. Hoang will work with what you have got more or less and I believe he is a good guy. Now, I hired him to put up a fence, remove my deck, and pave under where the deck used to be. All in all, the job was done and done pretty well. But he does not listen to the details you want. We asked him to use a screw for our fence, he used staples. We asked him to check for holes along our fence that he was not replacing and he did not but said there were none (there were a few holes in our wire fence that dogs came in through). He threw all of his trash into our recycling containers, used our garden hoses (which I had no problem with, but he never asked and just left them on after leaving too), and was generally very sloppy even after cleaning everything up. Granted his English is not very good, he still understands what you mean and knows what he is doing. But the level of professionalism was pretty low. When he came back to do our deck work he showed up on a Friday, but we scheduled it for the following Wednesday. When I asked him about it he said he scheduled it for that Wednesday, but okay? It is still Friday so you are still 2 days late even if it was that week! No phone call no text, you just have to hope that he shows up. You can call him, but he rarely picks up. I was done by that point but had him finish the job at least. Oh and he dumped a load of extra concrete onto my back lawn to hold it there before hauling it away at the end. He also left a pile of concrete in my front yard in a planter and now has encased it in concrete. Cool. By the end of it, the concrete work was solid and nice, but the surrounding area was covered in concrete dust and chunks of concrete were all over the place. I just wanted him out by that point. I do not recommend him if you are not home 24/7 to maybe catch him if he decides to show up on a random day or if you value cleanliness after a job is done. Granted he did clean up most of his trash and materials, but I mean, still no communication from the guy. All my hoses needed to be cleaned too because of all the concrete he got on them."

"Number one in communications and top attention in details. We worked with Geico Builders to build our addition, ADU and install pavers on the front of the house. Overall the process took us almost one year they were delays from the city of Oakland on approval plans despite that Victor went above and beyond and smooth all process once they got to actual building. He work hard to make progress easy on our addition especially with tough Inspectors. The quality of our new ADU well-built, and the bathroom has a great tile work with precise attention to details. Their price was not the cheapest one but for the amount of time and quality of work it’s very well deserved, we feel like we got good value for the money we paid. We do recommend Geico Builders and especially Victor to all who is looking for quality work."
