"Consumer Alert!! Buyer beware!! This spring we hired Roofsmith to install a new roof on our building. A condition of the contract was the manufacturer would need to stop out to the job site to inspect and certify the installation in order to receive the warranty. Roofsmith never had the manufacture inspect and certify as promised. The roof leaked within a few weeks of installation. As a result, we started to increase the frequency and intensity in which we requested the roof to be properly certified. We received excuse after excuse with no action taken. We began to contact the manufacturer directly and we discovered that Roofsmith did not use the materials that we contracted to install. They pulled a classic bait and switch scam with inferior grade products. We are now in the process of litigation with Roofsmith because of their faulty workmanship, false claims and fraudelant acts. "Gunner Roofing We used Gunner to replace shingles. They told us that if we upgraded the skylight to one that is solar powered we would get a tax credit of 30% of the entire job, a savings of over $2000. We weren't planning to replace the skylight but the numbers made sense. When we filed our taxes for that year we learned that the skylight they used did NOT qualify for the tax credit. They mislead us to spending an extra $2,500 on the job. When I called to complain I left a message but no one ever returned my call. "We had Mike and his team out a few months back, and could not be happier with the improvements to our home, and the service we received. Below is the details of the work we had done. It was an absolute pleasure having Larry and his coworkers in our house everyday. They stayed in communication with us, worked very hard to stay on deadlines, kept our home very clean while it was a work area, and were so respectful of our home. Mike was great to work with in helping us make our vistion a reality and checked in often while work was going on. We had an 8ft large picture window installed where there was previously just a standard single window. The window and the wall they had to cut apart and put back together looks perfect. We added a kitchen island that has transformed cooking and storage in our space and looks like it was always meant to be there. We also had custom shelving made and installed in our living room that runs the length of the wall with our tv on it and frames it just as we had wanted.
