"The business engages in shady billing practices. They say they mowed the lawn when the lawn did not need mowing at all. They say they did a "double cut" when the grass was barely 2 inches in height. When we complain, the staff is rude and comes across as racist. Based on our experience, we would not recommend hiring Alex's Proscape for lawn care. We will not renew our contract."

"DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO RENOVATE YOUR POOL. They will do the job, make a mess, create problems and once they have your check, Izabella will disappear. Renovated our pool in May, 2022 and was immediately notified of a problem with the quartzite finish. She disappeared for 21/2 months and until a call letting her know we would take further action, she finally showed up. Now, she is blaming us for the problems she created and is acting as though she is doing us a favor by suggesting a solution that may do further damage. AGAIN, I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH--DO NOT HIRE Izabella at PRICE RIGHT POOLS. Terrible!!!"

“Experience Passion!”\n \nAt Donald Pell Gardens our inspiration is derived from the New American Garden style; a concept which connects gardens with the greater regional landscape. Our designs mirror Impressionistic examples of the American meadow and Eastern Forest. With great reverence for the wild garden, the American landscape informs our decisions about function and beauty.\n \nIn partnering with clients we help them realize the value and amazing form and function of a well planned garden utilizing sympathetic design as a way to restore harmony. Our designs consider function and circulation within space to achieve a sensuous experience with a composition that celebrates the evolving seasons. \n \nWe create immediate value and impact, engineered through the seamless integration of space, soils, and vegetation.  By selecting appropriate materials that thrive on the given site external resources are used minimally in plantings. Bold masses of perennials bring powerful seasonal aesthetic along with minimal maintenance. Structural features are integrated and crafted with timeless, natural materials.  \n\nWith over 20 years of experience our passion is to inspire and introduce others to the magic and excitement of a strong thoughtful space and the drama of creating a “place” in the wild garden.\n\nLet us help you create your “Place.”

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Altoona, PA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
