"Mr. Rodriguez and his landscape team completed an incredible job with my garden and lawn; efficient in the care of my landscape and lawn work. Mr. Rodriguez listened patiently and courteously as I explained to him the services I requested with my garden and lawn. The team cleaned up all my garden weeds/debris and planted new grass seed for me. They were excellent from start to finish. I will definitely use them again and recommend "Mr. Rodriguez Lawn Care Services" to my family and friends. Their workmanship was beyond my expectations; very pleased with their services."

I started JD’s Lawn Care because I wanted to build something of my own while providing a service that people genuinely need. Growing up, I learned the value of hard work and taking pride in what you do, and lawn care gave me a way to turn that mindset into a business. I noticed that many homeowners either didn’t have the time, equipment, or energy to keep their yards looking the way they wanted, and I saw an opportunity to step in and help while creating a steady source of income for myself.\n\nStarting JD’s Lawn Care was also about independence. I didn’t want to rely on someone else to determine my schedule, my income, or my future. By running my own business, I’m able to take control of those things and push myself to grow every day. Each lawn I take care of is a reflection of my work ethic and attention to detail, and that motivates me to keep improving.\n\nAnother big reason I started this company is the satisfaction that comes from seeing immediate results.

"We were familiar with this company because they have been doing our organic lawn fertilizing and weed control this summer. Our experience with that has been superb. We had nearly given up on organic lawn care because we hadn't been able to do it very well ourselves and two other lawn services we tried weren't any more successful. The lawn was really getting pretty weedy. The folks at Watershed Organic Lawn Care really know what they're doing because we have seen an amazing improvement in our lawn in just one summer. It was more lush and green than we've seen it in years.
That said, we were expecting good things from the fall clean-up service and we got more than we'd even hoped for. My, husband who has managed properties professionally for 28 years, raved about the quality of their work for days. He said the pruning and shaping were among the best he'd ever seen. Needless to say, I'm delighted too. They did everything on our list and got it done in the 4 hour special pricing.
Watershed is so easy to work with. They understood what we were trying to achieve with our plantings and made our yard look great! This company is a jewell!"

"I used Dean Landscaping before for yard cleaning, mulch and lawn installation and was satisfied with the service, so when I saw this deal on Angies List of 4 hours of leaf removing with vacuum truck for $199, I didn't hesitate much to buy. I had difficulty reaching Micah at first since he was on vacation. But he called me back when he was available.

Due to their workload, then the weather condition, the work was done about 2 weeks after I first contacted him. Fortunately we still had one weekend before Christmas to set up yard decoration.

On the day, he sent two sub-contractors over. When they arrived I happened to be home, so asked for their estimate of the workload. They told me they should be able to finish in 2 hours (4 man hour); but if not, Micah would give me the same promotion rate. I did get a voicemail that afternoon and later a bill of $50 for an extra man hour.

The back yard where they started was quite clean, but the front yard seemed to be finished roughly with some beds left undone at all.I first thought probably they didn't want to charge me more and were in a rush. But my babysitter told me that they worked from 1:10pm ~ 3:20pm. So they should still have 20 minutes for a better work with the extra $50.

I usually hesitate to purchase services by hours, since I don't know how much work could be finished in the amount of time. So past experience and Angie's list reviews are helpful for the choice of a reliable service provider. I personally really trust Micah, but not sure about the sub-contractors."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Amanda, OH

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
