"This was a fabulous experience with transformation effect on the house and neighborhood! Micheal responded within a day of my request for a bid; besides delivering a simple bid (flat bid for labor, actual costs for materials), he provided references and numerous address of homes in Berkeley/Oakland that he had painted. The fact that there were 3 to 5 houses on each block, all beautifully done, made me know that neighbors hired him one ater the other because of the quality of work and good experience each had in turn. On our house, he worked seamlessly with the color consultant and the plasterer who needed to do repairs post power-wash but pre-painting (while his team was prepping). The gorgeous architecture of our house was completely diminished by the original paint job we did 15 years earlier (muted off-whites). He gave us great advice in enhancing the home's beauty while maintaining simplicity and elegance. He takes great pride in his work. His crew is an extended Guatemalan family that have worked for him for years. He comes behind at the very end and uses an artist's eye to make every final line clean. "Wonderful! We contracted with Rick in 2017 to repair and weatherproof several stucco walls. In 2018, we began a large job consisting of removing dry rot siding, repairing the areas with plywood. In the process we repaired a bay window that was leaking. Then we added 1 1/2” foam insulation over the old siding and topped that with new manufactured wood siding. Now our house is watertight, better insulated, and refreshed with a more modern look. We will continue to work with Rick and his crew in 2019 on a deck project. His guys are always professional. We have a dog and the guys make sure the gates are closed so he doesn’t get out."
