Rapid Roofing is proud to serve Southeast Michigan and has been Restoring Peace-of-Mind for over 25 years. Call us today at (734) 895-9553 or visit us on the web at www.rapidroofing.com to schedule your consultation today! We've pioneered a set of standards called the Successful Project Assurance Guide for homeowners. The guide gives homeowners like you a fighting chance for a successful project though a set of high standards by which to measure contractors of any type. This will allow you to judge beforehand whether or not a contractor is likely to do your job right the first time.

"***PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING WITH RAPID ROOFING!!!! Short story: Don't go with them - they do terrible work and you will regret it, but you probably won't know until it's too late. If you do, get *everything* inspected afterwards, and don't pay until it's right. Full story: We recently purchased a house with a roof done by Rapid Roofing 2021 or 2022. I went into the attic to figure out some ducting up there and noticed that there was ambering in the joists. I found out this was caused by over heating. I looked into this more, and figured out that there wasn't anywhere remotely enough air flow to allow hot, humid air to escape. What little ventilation was coming from the soffits It is 100% illegal and not to code to install roofs without the necessary airflow - it causes over heating which damages the roof and the wood, and can cause mold issues due to condensation. According to Michigan Building Code 1203.2 Ventilation required: "The net free ventilating area shall be not less than 1/150 of the area of the space ventilated." We're lucky if we have 1/10000 - there's ventilation at the roof ridge, but zero replacement air vent lower in the roof. They should have known that ventilation was required. We reached out to Rapid Roofing to see what it would take to fix this - they said it was out of warranty (you have to sign up within 1 year of purchasing the house to transfer it, which is BS, but I guess that was in the contract), but they said would see what they could do since they acknowledged it was their mistake. The head of customer service gave a long story about how their quality had gone down and he was trying to make things right now that he was in a position to do so. We had even suggested that we'd be willing to pay. After several calls with them promising to fix it strung out over months of us having to hound them because they don't return calls, they then stopped answering calls and ghosted us. So I guess we'll be paying to have someone else put in proper, legal venting. Don't use them. Don't trust them. Don't waste your money on them, you will regret it. We're looking into the possibility of suing them, you don't want to be in the same place as us in a few years."

Sun Home Improvement is family owned and operated for over 30 years! We start and complete our jobs on time and use only our own professional trained installers. Additional email - info@sunhomemi.com Additional phone number - (734) 354-9988

"From start to finish the job was completed with attention to detail, on budget and on time. The trim installers (Chris and Danny) were fantastic. They took their time and cared for the project like it was their own house. It was a big project. I had all outside exposed wood covered in trim and/or vinyl soffit. I can't thank Sun Home enough. During the gutter installtion a small piece of the trim was dented and it wasn't a huge problem but the job was done so well that I asked for it to be replaced. This happended, by the way, when a second crew, not Chris and Danny installed the gutters. On final inspection I showed Dave ( saleperson and delightful man) and he said give him a few days and they would take care of it. Like clockwork, he sent Chris back out and took care of it. To Chris, Danny, Rob and Dave, I thank you all for a well-done project from start to finish. I highly recommend Sun Home!!"

"We were in desperate need of replacement windows. Even through our need was great, I should have kicked the Champion saleman out of my home for the lack of respect he showed towards me and my children. He seemed nice, but his sales presentation was long and took a difficult toll on my small children. When I told him the price was too high, he continued to press...hard. My little ones were tired and fussy, my older children needing my attention, and after two hours, I gave up and decided to sign. After all, we did need the windows and it seemed like the only way to get him out. I was hopeful that maybe things would work out despite the awful experience of a Champion sales presentation. We just had our windows put in and I now realize that **** we endured was a sign to run, not an opportunity to fill our need for safe windows. Our sales man touted the fact that Champion does not use middle men. Imagine my surprise when a truck shows up with a contractor's name and number on the side...and it's not Champion. The contractor proceeds to complain about how far the campground he's staying at is away from my home, how hot it is outside, and then proceeds to ask me odd questions about swimming in my neighbor's pool and if my neighbor wants to sell his trailer (who cares...if you want to know, go ask after the job is done). The crew was weather delayed for 2 hours (even though we did not receive rain, I guess he did where they stayed) and then was 2 hours late beyond the reschedule time. The contactor showed up at the end and told me who and how much for the check, and then left. No walk around or asking if I had questions. The windows look fine from the inside, but when I went outside, it just made me sad to realize how much money I wasted. Champion touted their superiority in quality of installation, but it was a sloppy mess. Overspray on the glass, visible foam spray, bowed siding, all sorts of caulk problems (caulk on the siding, "drippy" ends, and messy, rushed caulking), corners that don't line up, and one window that has an odd fit are the things I found after walking the house. I was angry that Champion used a traveling subcontractor for the windows and even more upset at myself for agreeing to this nonsense. Champion is sending someone out this week to address the issues, but it won't change the fact that the salesman was pushy and inconsiderate, the installation was a nightmare, and I still have to deal with Champion to address the issues that should have never happened. I sincerely hope the sales representative is ashamed of his behavior in my home and re-evaluates his sales tactics as I would not wish that experience on anyone. A complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and find a local company that doesn't rely on ridiculous sales pitches and actually runs it's own installation crew."

As the nation’s largest full-service exterior home remodeler, we are backed by over 1,000+ Angi Super Service awards and more than one million happy customers. Why? Because we treat each job as an audition. An opportunity to prove ourselves to you. And the results speak for themselves. So make your home all it was meant to be with our unrivaled exterior services. Contact us today for a free, no obligation estimate on replacement windows, roofing, siding, doors, or attic insulation.

"On Tuesday, October 28, at about 2:20 p.m., two representatives from Power Home Remodeling came to my home in Madison Heights, Michigan — a white male named Dustin and a white female driving a vehicle with Michigan license plate EYC 5730. They ignored my clearly posted “No Soliciting” sign, which even lists the city ordinance number, and the female solicitor knocked on my door anyway. When I answered, their initial sales pitch was that they had just completed a job in the neighborhood — a tactic that shows if you hire them, they will harass your neighbors to drum up more work. I confronted them immediately and informed them they were in violation of Madison Heights Ordinance §7-68, which explicitly prohibits soliciting at any residence displaying a “No Soliciting” sign — permit or not. The two clearly knew they were in the wrong, because as soon as I told them I was calling the police, they stopped knocking on doors and fled straight to their car a couple blocks away. I followed them to obtain their license plate number and encountered their supervisor, another white male, who argued aggressively, insisting their permit allowed them to ignore “No Soliciting” signs — a completely false claim and a clear display of ignorance of the law. The supervisor’s behavior was arrogant and unprofessional, defending conduct that is plainly illegal under the city ordinance. I have video evidence of the encounter and have filed a formal report with the Madison Heights Police Department and City Clerk’s Office, including the vehicle details and company name. A company whose representatives harass neighbors for business, and whose supervisor defends breaking the law, shows no respect for homeowners, property rights, or the community. Avoid Power Home Remodeling at all costs — if this is how they behave before earning your business, imagine how they’ll treat your neighbors and you afterward."

Family owned and operated since 1944, Wallside sells directly to the homeowner, manufacturing and installing its own products. With a factory/showroom located in Taylor, Mich., the vinyl window manufacturer services two thirds of the lower peninsula of Michigan and northwest portions of Ohio.

"Had a couple windows installed on Tues. June 20th. The screen on one was ripped, the installer said they would put a order in right away and have it out this week. There was no signoff's on work. Some of the caulk jobs around the windows are a little sub-par for my liking. Not the best quality work. Called the office for clarification on when my screen would be here this week. They had no knowledge of it, and it had to be ordered. Now it'll be July 8th before they can get out here. Had used their competitor (Hansons) for my last house. The comparison between the two is much different. Will probably go back to Hansons for the rest of the house here."
