The design worked out better than we thought, making the space look bigger. His team handled the grading and laid a proper base under both sections. The turf drains well, and the pavers stay cool even in the heat. Everything is solid, ad we now use that part of the yard every weekend."

"Our concrete driveway was 35 years old, well-worn and cracked in numerous areas. It was unsightly and detracted from the overall look of the house and yard. It is also over 300 feet long covering 5200 square feet. We decided to have it replaced with pavers along with the walkway to our front door. Once that decision was made we had to figure out the contractor to use and the pavers to use. I got eight bids from small companies, midsized companies and the large national companies. The price difference between the lowest to the highest was $54,000. The two big companies were nearly twice the cost of the lowest ones. I also found that there are different methods of installing the pavers. I have a fairly steep grade on the driveway. One of the large expensive companies wanted to put 22 bolsters on the driveway. Some of the small companies weren't going to install any. The majority were going to install 3 or 4 bolsters. These keep the pavers from sliding down the grade. I ended up contracting with Eminent Pavers owned and operated by Mark (Web Site; eminentpavers.com) (Phone No. 323 842-9464) (Email; eminentconstruction1@gmail.com). Mark has been installing pavers for many years and knows his business. He also has only one crew that is overseen by his foreman, Santiago. Several of the companies I got bids from run several crews. Mark has one crew of extremely hardworking and talented craftsman. He is not overreaching and bringing in labors to operate several jobs at once. Most of Mark's employees have been with him for several years. His foreman, Santiago, has been with him for nearly ten years. Mark's cost for the project was more than fair. He was not the lowest bid, but he did much more than the lowest ones and even more that those big expensive companies. Mark also has an eye for design. Our driveway was not a box. It had curves and sweeps as it flowed to the garage. Mark was on his hands and knees making sure the finish product looked right, and it did. Picking out the right pavers is not an easy task. There are two primary suppliers and numerous colors and designs. One recommendation I have is to drive to the supply house Mark will recommend and look at them in person. The brochure photos don't always look the same in person. Once we had signed the contract we added a planter. Not a problem. Mark gave us a very fair price for the additional work. Mark's did such a great job our daughter had contracted with him to put pavers in at her house and our son is going to get a bid from him for his driveway. I rarely leave reviews. However, Mark, Santiago and the craftsman that completed this project deserve these acylates and thanks."

His crew was friendly. kept work area neat and clean while completing the job and made sure that the job is done to satisfaction. They are professional and easy to work with. "I am very pleased with the back-yard patio Conrad and his crew installed. Cost was very competitive. Timeline for project was very close to original estimate. Conrad was very helpful in helping us make final design decisions, especially on picking the paver block style and color. He also promptly addressed all of me concerns, even though they were mostly minor. His crew also worked with me to get the final outline of the patio, with many curves. "Had an above average experience. For starters the project was finished so fast. I feel like when it comes to any kind of construction project I just expect the project to go way over schedule, this was not the case. The only problem I had was not being able to decide which styles to go with which took me some time to decide but after I knew what I wanted the designer was accommodating and flexible. I was told the back patio would be done in 7 days and it was. That was just one cool thing about it. The crew was super nice. There was no mess afterwards. Or while they were working on the pavers which has bugged me with other companies in the past. Pavers look great, they match the house. I wish I could do more to my yard but will definitely call back when I'm able to."

"Our project was one step and a landing on our porch. Approx. 30 sq feet. We had the top layer of tile removed and concrete around the door area chiseled and jack hammered away. They then cut fossil stone for risers and step/landing in large squares as requested. They did put up a moisture barrier at the entrance and calked after grouting the stone. This was done upon the City of Downeys expectations. I believe that wouldn't have been done had I not called the city to come by to clarify the code for this job. So my only complaint is that some workers, actually most don't keep up or research the code. Then when the city does visit you may have to tear down a project and re do it. That can be costly and frustrating. Our porch and step look great. Not sure if the cost to us was cheap, but it is done and looks great."
