"They were quick to respond and performed the work within a week, However, that is the only nice thing I have to say. Scheduling was a bit odd (texting on Monday morning asking to come over with no notice--which I was unable to do--and then the next day cancelling at the last minute after I took time off from work to meet them). When they actually performed the work, they left a giant tree limb in my backyard, which I now somehow have to dispose of, and huge gouges in my front lawn (looks like their truck took a joy ride, despite my having more than ample driveway space). They assured me the lawn would "puff back up" when it rained, but of course it didn't, because that is not a thing. Instead, now I have nice lakes in my yard that should make for excellent mosquito feeding grounds in a few months. They promised to "send someone out" to look at the damage, but of course they didn't do that either. So in addition to paying (way too much) for tree trimming and removal, I get to pay to repair my lawn and figure out how to remove this tree limb from my yard."

"I got an estimate for yard work from Hometown Tree Experts about 7 months ago. One of the early estimates included pruning some tree branches on my neighbors property because they were growing into my property. My neighbor later did the work himself and rescinded permission for Hometown Tree Experts to prune his tree. I corresponded with Jacque in the Hometown Tree Office by email and she verified that my neighbors property was removed from the quote. I then paid a deposit and signed a contract for work in my yard only. The work in my yard was fine. Unfortunately, the Hometown Tree workers apparently did not have the updated version of the work order where neighbor’s property was removed. They cut off several additional branches from my neighbor’s tree without his permission. I was very upset to hear that Hometown Tree Experts had gone into my neighbor’s yard and cut additional branches off after he had already done the needed work himself. I have called and emailed Hometown Tree Experts many times over the past 7 months to ask what they were doing to address their error. They told me repeatedly that they were working with my neighbor to resolve the issue. I am very disappointed and frustrated to hear that this this issue is still not resolved. My neighbor ultimately hired another company to fix the work done by Hometown Tree Company. I was not involved with discussions with other company so I cannot comment on that. All I know is that my neighbor and Hometown Tree Experts still have not resolved their dispute 7 months later."

"Excellent service. I called to setup a consultation for the removal of a dead tree in my backyard. Their foreman arrived on the same day (on a weekend) and gave me a quote to remove the dead tree as well as some brush in the general area. Work was completed during that week and the crew did an excellent job cleaning everything up. Would definitely hire again."

Never heard back even after following up two times. Because of this I will not recommend. If you have a huge job, go risk working with the company. "Received 5 quotes for this big, expensive job. JL was not the cheapest, nor were they most expensive. I had used them previously and was overall pleased with their work, so I decided to use them again. I was not disappointed. The crew showed up on time and systematically took down the tree in less than a full day. I was impressed. Nothing on the property was damaged and this was a feat in itself as the tree removal was in the back yard and on a hill. The JL Team had to remove all of the tree limbs, cut the tree trunk into discs, split the discs, and then HAND CARRY out each piece of the tree trunk - down a slope with rocks and multiple stairs. Clean up was perfect - no complaints. The foreman on the job did a great job and was able to make a few minor adjustments on the fly for my pruning requests. They even stacked up a small amount of wood that I wanted to keep for firewood. Would recommend."
