The owner came out the next day to walk around the house with me, provided an estimate on the landscaping cleanup job, and got it scheduled for the following week. (I was expecting later in the Fall or next Spring as that's what I've heard from a few other local landscaping/lawn services.) On the day of the job, the owner and crew arrived early, worked diligently for 5-6 hours on a hot humid day to clear out the jungle of overgrown landscaping (including roots/stumps), weeds, and ivy from up around the house and out of a clump of large pines along the edge of the driveway.
