"C&S did an outstanding job with my roof. After I failed to get a call back from another top rated company, I called C&S and was glad the first company did not call back. From start to finish, C&S worked with me and the insurance company on the details of the roof replacement. Everything was inspected and identified ahead of time. The salesperson, Scott, understands the insurance process very well and helped us in negotiating a settlement. We are very pleased with the job C&S did and also with how we were treated. I definitely recommend and will use again, if needed."

"My wife and I moved to Omaha in 1996 and settled in Millard. After a year or so, we decided to update our home with vinyl siding and new windows. Since we were relatively new in the area, we were a bit nervous trying to find an honest and reasonable contractor to perform the work. I think we found Albracht's in the yellow pages (showing my age). Lucky us! From our first visit, Tom and Steve have always treated us right. They did a fantastic job 20 years ago and all during those years, they took care of us by standing by their product. Earlier this year (2018), we decided our home needed a facelift. This time, no hesitation on our part as to who we should use. We called Tom again and although he's 20 years older, he's the same Tom we first met. He gave us a nice price on new steel siding and his crew finished up this week. What a fantastic job these guys do. We are so happy how it looks and the quality of workmanship can't be beaten. You can't go wrong using Albrachts!"

"The owner Dan was very professional and thorough. He went over everything with us in great detail that his crew would be doing before starting the job. He has an eye for detail and was very helpful offering suggestions for paint color and what would look nice. His paint crew spent time replacing rotted wood, siding pieces and fascia first. Other companies never offered or even suggested to repair parts of our house before painting. Aabex did an extremely thorough job and they went above and beyond what we expected. We are so happy with the way everything turned out. We highly recommend Aabex."

"Devin was great! I give him 5 stars. I'm submitting only 4 stars on this review because I had a difficult time getting his roofing crew to complete installation of the drip edge. I had to talk to Devin two times to get the crew back and even then there's one side where the drip edge was not replaced."

"The workmanship is top-notch. The new skylight does not leak. They replaced the surrounding shingles, and even some of the sheathing underneath that had sustained some water damage for no additional charge. I wish they had communicated better about the timing of the installation. It was delayed a couple times with no notification or explanation. Sometimes this is because of weather and out of their control, but they could have been more proactive about informing me of the status. Also, there was some confusion about the availability of the product I selected. It wasn't until after installation when they told me that the higher-end skylight was not available in the correct size. But we are pleased with the final result, and the price seems right."

"Royalty roofing & siding is an AMAZING company to work with. We worked with Jeremy, and he did a job ABOVE AND BEYOND anything we've experienced with ANY contractor. He worked with our insurance company after a very bad hail storm and was able to get our entire house resided with James Hardy, as well as new gutters, downspouts, and window wraps. Jeremy and his team worked VERY hard for us, communication was impeccable, and whenever a problem arose, Royalty took care of it immediately, and in a manner befitting of a company that earns the trust and admiration of its customers. We will use them for LIFE. After the job was completed, there was an issue with the caulking used on our siding. The issue was the product, not Royalty's team or work. Royalty immediately moved to remedy the issue, even though they were out-of-pocket with Hardy for the fix for over a year. We even received a gift certificate around the holidays. That's what I call excellence in customer service! Thank you Jeremy, team, and Royalty Roofing & Siding. You are amazing!"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Ashland, NE

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
