He translated what I said to someone with him who took notes. I wish that I had recorded the conversation when I said, "just a little". The next visit, the man who was taking the notes did the cutting and he cut off more than half of the tree. It is also more than the 10% trim that is healthy for a tree. I do not speak Spanish so when I asked him to stop, he did not understand that I meant to stop cutting, not just to stop to let me walk by. Now, my tree is permanently weakened as assessed by an expert arborist. They did apologize, but it is too late. The tree is damaged. They have not offered to make amends."
