"Ken is one of the most knowledgable people I've ever met. We're new homeowners, and when we had water seeping into a room from a chimney, we weren't sure who to call. Ken was able to address the problem immediately, and he set the job out in stages. I learned a lot about our house through his explanations of how and why the problems we had were happening. And then they did a fantastic job making the repairs. He was very responsive through texts. He charges a fair price for his work. The work is completed with high quality, and he has an interest in making sure his work lasts for a long time. I would definitely recommend giving him a call. <br />"

"Matt, the owner, was always here when he said he would be. His team communicated with us throughout the work. We were delighted with the professionalism and passion of everyone we interacted with. We are really thrilled with the results! I would highly recommend them. After the landscaping was installed, Matt met with us to go over plant names and plant care. Again - nice touch!"

"Builder supplied detailed drawings, steps to be taken, full list of supplies needed to complete the project, four-part payment schedule, pulled permits and oversaw three required inspections, smooth coordination of a variety of craftspeople, prompt and courteous professional communication throughout and follow-through that still continues today. Work and materials are insured and warrantied. The outcome is serviceable and stunning and life-enhancing for years to come."

"Not only the owner of Cornerstone is named Tim, but also the friendly and helpful young landscape architect who worked closely with me and developed all the plans. Tim the landscape architect was readily available and easy to work with; he took my very basic ideas and worked up beautiful computer-generated options and photos for landscaping and shrubs adjoining the patio, options I found really helpful, attractive and reasonably affordable. When the patio was installed by Cornerstone's crew, Tim the landscape architect was on-site for practically the whole project. Since the patio was installed adjoining a backyard slope, given the inclination necessary for proper drainage, afterwards I thought the effect looked a little odd, like the patio was sliding down the hill (an optical effect only). When I contacted Cornerstone with my aesthetic concerns, Tim the owner and Tim the landscape architect came out to confer with me. They checked the patio installation and found it as was necessary for proper drainage and alignment with surrounding sidewalks. But Tim the owner insisted he wanted me to be happy with Cornerstone's project, and, at no cost, would make alterations to make me happy. They'd even tear up the patio and put it in differently with all new pavers, a drastic course of action I surely didn't want. Instead, I chose a different option Cornerstone offered--building up part of the backyard with lots more dirt and seeded grass, and building an additional flowerbed, shrubs and metal edging around another edge of the patio, so it is contained and would seem to be nestling in a mini-garden. This all was done by Cornerstone a month or so after the original patio was laid. Now it's Spring, and I can see the results are outstanding! The patio looks great. And nestled. And I can sit on the patio surrounded on three sides by beautiful flowering shrubs. Cornerstone told me they wanted me to be happy with their work--and I am really happy! I highly recommend Cornerstone Landscaping. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Auburn, IN

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
