"S & T replaced the section as promised. It looks great, water drains, and no worries about doing a faceplant in the driveway. Total cost was for labor and material, which worked out great."

"Be careful what you ask for. I wanted a cheap repair for a brick sidewalk, so asked for minimum needed. He tuck pointed the outside row of bricks but left the inner ones alone, so the mortar looks completely different. <br /> It's mostly my fault, I didn't mark off points because it was uglier than I expected. I marked off points because the mortar work wasn't very clean, it's on top of the bricks in a lot of places. <br />"

"I saw Paul doing some tree work for the man that sold me my house after an ice storm.  I asked him to come over and take care of the one in my front yard.  My wife and I were sitting in the family room shortly thereafter when the whole house shook like incoming artillery. I rushed out to the front yard and there was Paul and his associate cutting up the trunk of the three. It was gone that evening."

"I contacted several local companies for bids to do the work and selected Keating as the one that best fit what I needed. Eric visited my home to evaluate the situation and suggest the best way to proceed. He recommended a less expensive solution although he also submitted (at my request) a bid for more comprehensive plan. After reviewing the bids and Eric's suggestion, I decided to go with his (less expensive) option. I agreed that I didn't need to install piers under the porch and planter since they were not sinking, but I did want to stop the settling of the fill dirt. I signed and returned the bid and in a few days, the work crew arrived. They drilled several holes in the concrete porch and injected slurry into the void, watching until they saw it coming out the other holes to be sure that it was full. They also injected slurry under the stone planter attached to front of the house. The entire process took four or five hours. I got an invoice in several days for the bid amount and paid by check."

"<p>Just wanted to drop a line or two and let you all know how impressed we were with both your workmen and their work.  In today's society, you just don't find companies that really do a great job, they usually just do enough to "get by".<br /> <br /><br /> <br />At times, without their knowledge, I was home and could hear some of the men talking.  Much to my surprise, their language and subject matter were always appropriate.  Don't find that much in the labor force today!  It spoke volumes to me.  When they did speak with us, they were always very kind and informative.<br /> <br /></p> <p>The work that was performed consisted of excavating the dirt to gain access to the footings on both sides of the foundation.  On the inside, they had to bust out the concrete floor and hand dig to the footing in order to install their brackets for the "unified lift system".  After installing the brackets, they attached special hydraulic equipment to the brackets which drove 3" diameter<br /> <br />pipes down to bedrock.  Next, they attached a hydraulic jacking system to each pier location.  Using their special vehicle with a unique hydraulic pumping system they attached hydraulic lines to each location and were able to do a controlled lift.  From what we understand, your company is one of the only ones that can perform this "unified lift".<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We were taking pictures daily and emailing them out to family and friends who could not believe their eyes!  They started out making our basement look like a bomb went off and when they were done it was swept and looking very nice!<br /> <br /><br /> <br />All this to say that the work done was absolutely astonishing!  We will highly recommend EHM to everyone that we hear may need this type of work completed.<br /> <br /><br /> <br />Thanks so much again.  We were dreading having this work completed, but you all made it so much nicer by your<br /> <br />expertise, kindness, and professionalism.</p> <p>Mike and Cheryl <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Topeka, KS

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
