He assessed the situation, but explained that repairs required the roof to be dry. He also identified other problems with the roof (which is old). Three days later, after some dry weather, he returned and fixed both problems - and it had rained since - all is well! He also gave me, at my request, a bid on a total roof tear-off, but without an aggressive sales push. AND he followed up two weeks later to be sure that the problem was resolved. "Eric removed two layers of shingles from our 40 year old roof and replaced them with new 3D Duration shingles. The job started with us needing someone to replace some siding on the chimney due to water leaking in behind the siding causing deterioration and paint peeling off of the siding panels. The repair which we were pursuing was relatively small and consequently we contacted several qualified contractors and they were not willing to even come and scope out our job. Someone referred us to Maximus and when I called and talked to Eric, he was willing to take on the project even though it was small. When he showed up to evaluate the situation and give an estimate for the job, he discovered that the cause of our problem was due to the concrete cap around our chimneys that had cracked and separated and allowed water to seep in and deteriorate the trim boards and siding.We agreed to have him replace the siding and trim boards and to replace the chimney chase because his quote was very reasonable.
