"Up front, we were told that there was some extra work that would be needed to put boxes behind each light because of code changes since the house was built. He did, however, have to postpone six of the lights because when he went to install them, he found that they had been illegally installed all those years ago. We scheduled a return visit and Sked provided the missing parts. Those lights were installed, some non-working outlets fixed and a pair of outdoor lamps that had NEVER been connected to the indoor switch were tied in. "It went really well. We moved into this 90 year old house about a year ago. The house we moved from for built for us, so it was brand new and all up to code. This house is not. There were a lot of electrical things that needed attention the day we moved in, but I've been procrastinating. Some of them were simple (for an electrician) like installing a light switch. Others definitely required the services of a professional like the new circuit and surge protector. And one (the show-me-how-to-use-the-generator-hook-up thing) just required a conversation with someone who knew what they were talking about. Tony fit the bill on all three accounts. <br /> He was very responsive from the time we first contacted him, to giving us a quote, to scheduling the work, to completing the work. We was courteous, well-spoken, professional, and personable (he got my shy 2-year-old to give him a high five). He got the work done within the window he estimated, which was important to us because my wife had to work that night. Not only was he patient with me and my numerous questions about the new circuit and switches, but he also anticipated many of my questions about the generator and brought to my attention a bunch of things that I never would have even thought to ask. He noticed that the existing external hook-up for the generator for non-standard and made sure we were prepared for a black out by helping me actually connect the generator, power it up, switch from the main panel to the generator panel and seeing exactly which circuits are connected to the generator's panel - going so far as to run the water and make sure that the well pump would turn on.
