"I had water that would often come up through a "drain" in my garage, sometimes up to three inches. I had no idea how to remedy this, besides pouring a new concrete floor. Once the floor removal started, Zach realized that there was a lot more water than anticipated in the ground under my garage floor, and more needed to be done than what was originally expected. I trusted Zach with his experience and expertise and he came up with what I believe was the best solution to my problem. The result was that I got a new garage floor that looks great, plus proper water drainage so this never happens again. Zach always kept me apprised of when he would be at my house, what he was doing and when, and how long this would all take. He was always responsive to my text messages and he was a pleasure to do business with. I would hire him to do any other concrete work that I might need/want in the future."

"The project went great. Tony was communicative, informative and pleasant to work with. Tony did not do the actual tile work, but did come by the 1st day to make sure I met and felt comfortable with who he was delegating the project to. Joe was ever bit as pleasant to work with as Tony. It ended up being a two day job (tile and then come back to grout and caulk). Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. Tony consulted with me on how much material to order and where exactly to put the tile (how high up, how far over, etc). The backsplash is beautiful!!!! We absolutely love it! Would HIGHLY reccomend!"

"Mr. Hoffman was professional and personable. He listened to my concerns and paid attention to the details. He showed extra care for my floors underneath so they wouldn't be damaged in any way. Great job done!"

"This goes back a few months and I meant to write this a long time ago... I'll try to remember specifics.
The communication was great. The estimate was no nonsense and very matter of fact, which I like for any type of repair work. George came out and explained what they intended to do for the price and didn't try to inflate the price by performing repairs that weren't deemed necessary. I actually thought the problem was bigger than it was. He seemed trustworthy so we had the work done. We need some more brickwork done in the future and do plan on contacting them for that to get an estimate, too.

They came out to do the repair within a few days of me accepting the proposal and were here and gone by the time I got home. The only observation I'll make - and in all fairness didn't realize it right away and never contacted them, so, never gave them a chance to respond - was that whatever concrete/mortar they mixed was done in my yard and some was spilled and left to dry leaving a very hard spot right in the area my kids play. My yard is NOT in great shape and it was less than 10" in diameter. They also left a thin masonry trowel behind in the yard that is actually quite pointy (which I still have lying around somewhere and you can have back!).

Oh, I forgot one thing so updating. I totally forgot that the chimney cap was attached to the chimney crooked, too. I guess that is my only real "complaint". I never really look up there and just noticed it again after thinking about this review. That actually should be fixed.

Overall a good experience and would recommend."

"Excellent! From the beginning I was very impressed. Jenifer arrived on time , was very knowledgeable and answered all my many questions. Jim and the team were very professional and worked well together. They got caught in one of our unexpected summer rain showers and quickly adapted to the upsetting situation. The stamped patio came out great. I would definitely recommend Collar City Concrete to anyone having concrete work done."

"Beautiful work! Keith finished our log home exterior siding. He was reactive on the phone, very communicative, answered all my questions, gave recommendations, and was on-time. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the work he did. I would recommend him to anyone and I’m looking forward to work with him on future projects."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Ballston Lake, NY

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
