"I hired Viking to iinstall new tank and pump. The pump went out so I called for repair service. I had no water for almost a week. Calls went unreturned. When Sheldon finally returned my call he said he was too busy and would not come to check on problem for another week. He said that I was on my own and to call the vendor that sold him the pump. I paid over $7000.00 for lousy customer service and faulty equipment that didn?t last for more than a few years. Do not hire this company. "

"I had used another company before them and work and recommendations were not done properly. Douglas however was excellent. They were very thorough and took time to review my situation. I would highly recommend them and I would definitely hire them again."

"We spent approximately $17,000 on this project. After the installation (August 2016), it appeared that the installation was generally okay. However, my wife and I did note to Mr. Young that his employees had stapled the wires running up the trees very deep into the tree bark (see attached pictures) and that eventually as the trees grow there would likely be an electrical short. Mr. Young responded that this was normal installation procedure and that he had never had any troubles in previous installations. In October 2017 (after the warranty expired), a short did occur as predicted and three lights in a row went out. Mr. Young refused to acknowledge it was due to the extreme stabling referred to above. However, the solution to the problem required him running new wires up the same trees with less severe stapling. We had to pay Mr. Young $500 to resolve the specific issue that was clearly caused by his poor installation but he would not replace all the wiring running up the other trees. Therefore, we are likely to experience future failures do to Mr. Young's poor installation. After Mr. Young repaired the problem and we paid him, I asked a Master Electrician to look at pictures of the "severe stapling" and he said "of course it caused the short." Later we had a bulb go out and when I tried to find the same type of bulb that would fit, I discovered it was no longer being produced. I called Mr. Young to ask where I could find another bulb that would work and he said the one he installed was still being produced. When I informed him that the company that produced the bulb had on their website that it was no longer in production, he accused me of speaking to him in a condescending manner. Mr. Young has a great sales pitch but does not stand behind his work and becomes argumentative if you do not agree with him. Luckily for me, the company who no longer produces the original bulb (that Mr. Young installed) in our back yard helped me find another bulb (at no cost) that is produced by a competitor. Mr. Young simply refused to help."

"Read your contract. Centex ?Operations? came and did whatever they wanted. They didn?t complete the job I agreed upon with ?Sales,? and ?Operations? never communicated with me during the process as defined in the contract. They damaged my entryway and still charged the full amount. I hope I never have to do business with them again."

Prestige Custom Pools provides an alternative to the way most pool companies build in San Antonio. We explain all the different option that make up the pool and let you know what will work best for you situation. Not all equipment is designed to be used on every pool therefore it makes me ask why do the big companies always put the same stuff on every project? We take a look at what you need and what you expect from your swimming pool and will deliver exactly what we promised. Not everyone needs to control there pool with a computer and not everyone needs a D.E. filter. By using these items the way they were designed to be installed I have found that I can shave hundreds of dollars off the cost of a pool just by sizing the equipment correctly. \n \nI own Prestige Custom Pools and employ sub-contractors to do the actually construction. These subcontractors are masters in their fields and know what needs to be done and what is expected from them. Almost every pool company in San Antonio operates in this same manner. What it boils down to is-- Who is supervising the subcontractors? Are you going to be just another number to a company or another quick stop in a superintendent's day? With Prestige Custom Pools your project is always a priority. As the owner I will come by the job every day to check the quality of work being installed. If it is not up to my standards, I will have it fixed before you ever knew what happened. How many of the other companies will have the owner on site to make the decisions everyday? Customer service and our integrity are the items in which we strive for perfection. Give us a chance to show you just how enjoyable and different building your pool can be. We offer free in home estimates for any size project. Give us a call today so that we can work together to make your dream a reality. \n \nTim Clark -Owner

"I contacted Hill Horticulture in early February with the intent of contracting them to do some re-landscaping work on my backyard. The work was to include addressing a drainage issue on the property to allow water trapped at the rear of the house to flow off the property instead of just pooling. I scheduled a walkthrough on February 14th with Mike Muhl with Hill Horticulture Inc. to conduct a walkthrough of the property to assess the work needed and create a scope of work for him. During this meeting, it was suggested by Mike that we shoot the grades in the backyard, instead of just eyeballing it, so that he could create a better plan to address the drainage issues. Shooting the grades would be a separate project from the work to be performed to solve the drainage issues which was why it was billed separately. It was my understanding this would contain two measurements; one would be the overall slope of the yard and the second would be the slope away from the house to make sure water was moving away from the home. Allegedly Mike Muhl and one other employee of Hill Horticulture Inc. came out sometime between March 27 and April 3rd and shot the grades. I was not present nor was anyone present other than Hill Horticulture employees. I have no way to confirm they actually shot the grades or what tools, if any, were used. We met on April 5th to go over the proposed changes to the backyard and at this time he did not have an elevation diagram or map or any elevation information for me. I was informed at the meeting that he will have them for me shortly and would email them to me. I was billed for the shooting of the grades of the backyard on April 9th, which I paid for with CC the following day. I still had not received a site plan or map or diagram that indicated the slope of the yard. On May 31 I emailed Mr. Muhl to request a copy of the grading map he was supposed to have done. He responded that he would send it but I still have not received a copy of it by June 5th. At this point, I became skeptical that he had even shot the grades. He kept giving me excuses as to why he has not sent anything out. So I gave Mike Muhl a deadline of Thursday, June 7th to get the elevations map to me. I sent an email to all the contact emails I had for Hill Horticulture informed them that if I did not receive the site elevation I paid for over two months prior I would cancel all the upcoming work I had scheduled with them. Within a matter of hours, Mike had sent me a very crudely drawn diagram of my property with some numbers on it. The drawing I was sent that supposedly showed the slope of the yard was nothing like the drawing I received for the proposed re-landscaping. Additionally, the report I was provided was nothing like what we discussed it would be. There was no explanation of his finding and what they mean in regards to the drainage issues as well as some kind of explanation as to what the numeric values meant or even what incriment of measure they were. I believe he quickly printed this out on a computer with fabricated numbered he created based on the memory of walking the property. After going back and forth with him for three days on June 8th I requested a full refund for the cost of the survey that I assert was never performed. The owner of the company responded that he would not be issuing a refund he stated “In addition to providing you the full scope of work, we also provided you with a simple rendering at no cost, which was in no way part of what we were contracted to do.” which is in direct contradiction to what Mr. Muhl and I discussed. The owner is saying that I paid him over $700 for his staff to measure the grades on my property for themselves and not provide me with any of the information or elevation drawings. What I was provided was absolutely not what I paid for and I strongly believe that Hill Horticulture, Mike Muhl, and the owner, Mr. Moreno acted in bad faith and deliberately misrepresented the services they claimed they provided."
