"This is my second time using Ricky's services. We communicated via text to arrange appointment time. He provided 4 hour window for service and text his arrival time 30 min before. Once arriving he and I walked the lawn & he listened to my concerns & desires for improvement. He took time to educate me on the condition of my lawn and ways to improve. His improvement suggestions were all DIY options. At the end he mentioned he does offer extended services for lawn care beyond aeration if I want to consider outsourcing. "This is a very professional and respectful group of people. Hilario, the owner, contacted me right away to set up a time to have one of his team come out to look at my pool. He contacted me before his team member arrived and within an hour of his departure, to go over the work that needed to be done. Once we agreed on a price, he scheduled my service for the same week! "Mr. Patrick was easy to contact by phone.  He went to our house while we were at work to view our yard and create an estimate, which included the cost of mulch.  On the day of service, he was prompt, arriving earlier than expected and beginning work without even ringing the doorbell.  He worked alone and VERY hard at bagging leaves/acorns.  However, there was misunderstanding during which he initially didn't intend to include mowing/edging into our "yard clean-up" - however he "reviewed his notes" and later performed these services.  He worked tirelessly from about 8 to 6 PM, taking only one lunch breach during which time he ran to the store and bought additional mulch for the beds.  Because the job took more effort than expected, we were unexpectedly (but politely) charged an additional $100 at the end of the day.  When finished, he drove off without saying goodbye, although I had intended to talk to him about continuing his services with weekly yard maintenance.
But be warned!  About one month later, while mowing our lawn, my husband was approached by a passerby.  This man said that he had been walking by our house on the day Mr. Patrick performed our lawn service and was hired on the spot to help with the yard.  Because we were inside during most of the day, we didn't notice the additional worker.  While I agree that our yard was a big job, I'm a little uncomfortable that Mr. Patrick invited a stranger into our back yard.  He never mentioned it to us.  Is this standard practice?
Overall, Mr. Patrick was a very hard worker whose prices may be a bit higher than others.   I don't know that he weeded under the new mulch, but the yard looked great after his service.  Although he was easy to reach by phone, I found that communication was a little difficult.  His leaving unannounced was a little weird, as was his hiring a stranger off the street to help with the job.  I was pleased with the end result but definitely plan to look elsewhere for yard maintenance.

"The job went pretty smooth. I had many discussions with Robert Garcia for a few weeks prior to work being done. Originally, I was going to hire his company for a pathway on the side of my house. We discussed several options, and texted pictures back and forth, then I decided to begin with my front yard landscaping instead...so I kind of took up too much of his time! He was very gracious, and suggested plants I might like for the ideas I was trying to explain. When I finally decided, we had to set the date a bit later because he was all booked up. I will say, this was SO worth the delay! He and his crew (total of 3 men) came an hour earlier than expected and jumped right in that morning. I did not see anyone wasting any time. They unloaded the fountain and all the plants and did everything I had asked of them. The job definitely took longer than I thought it would, but it was 2 large areas and a hard job. When my initial contract ran out, I was asked if I wanted them to continue on at the regular hourly rate. Obviously, I had to see it to completion. My contract was 2 people for 4 hours, or 1 person for 8 hours. When 3 came, that changed that formula, so the time went a lot quicker...hence, the added expense. I will say that I am VERY pleased with the end result! Robert and his crew were very courteous and cleaned up the area before leaving. He called back later that evening to see if I was pleased with the work done. We are now planning to do an area in my back yard, so Brightstar will be back soon!
P.S. After two days, I had made a comment that my fountain was needing to be filled too often and evaporating too quickly. Robert said "Not to worry... We'll take care of you". The next day, he sent someone out and reset the fountain into the center of the box, rather than offset it, and the problem was solved! Happy camper here! ???"
