"Fantastic My wife and I were having a very difficult time finding a local outfit to replace our leaking roof before winter fully set in. The quotes we received for a spring job were very high. I called Tim at Black Ox thinking he would be too far away or also fully booked. I was surprised to hear back that he would be able to get it done before the winter and his quote was much more reasonable than the larger outfits. In short Tim got the job done when he said he would and at the price quoted. He saw that we would need some additional insulation and simply got that done as well. He and his crew were here and gone in a shockingly few number of days, even working in bitter cold. The roof is spectacular and the house so much warmer. It was almost as if they were never here and this perfect standing seam roof magically appeared almost over night. I assume he is able to do this because he does one type of roof only and because he spends all day at work in the field. Do not expect lengthy conversations with Tim. If he says he will get it done at a certain time at a certain price he will. Send in your deposit and be patient. Tim is a very busy man and actually up on roofs working rather than on the phone or computer chatting. It is refreshing to work with someone in such a straight forward manner, but you must trust him. In return you will have a beautiful new standing seam roof of the best materials, perfectly installed by a master of the craft, at an unbeatable price. "From the initial project review by Bob, Pinnacle was thoroughly professional in its approach. Bob inspected the entire roof, noted where there were issues, and promised to deliver an estimate in the next few days. The estimate came through as promised, with a high level of detail, including how they would address the winter leakage issues I was experiencing, schematics of roof and what would be done where, how the surrounding area would be protected, and a detailed cost breakdown, with options. Though the roof is fairly large, with 3 skylights to be replaced and a number of peaks and valleys, Pinnacle estimated it would take two days. As it turned out, the materials were delivered on day one, but the forecast called for heavy rains, so work couldn't start. When they came back, John, the foreman arrived early in the morning and let me know they were sending a large crew and would work a longer day to try to finish everything that day. Amazingly enough, they did just that. John and his team stripped the roof, installed the skylights, and had the new roof on and the entire area immaculately clean before they left. John kept me informed of their progress and made sure I didn't have any concerns during the day and before they left. That evening, Bob made a follow-up call to ask how things had gone. "I 100% recommend Fontaine Roofing. Roof is cathedral no attic space - no room for error. I hired him to repair what I thought was a section that would be relatively simple. When he pulled the shingles, what he found was both disheartening and shocking. The prior roofer (work he was repairing) bungled the entire roof and left vast sections of structure uninsulated. Rot had ruined the joists. The simple 1 week job was now a complete rebuilding of the entire roof system including new joists. What I got in the end was a perfectly engineered roof with air circulation, up-to-code insulation, and attractive metal roofing. His attention to detail is spectacular - I even heard him tell a technician "No - it has to fit perfectly." Air spacing wood members were slotted to facilitate airflow. "AFFORDABLE ROOFING was able to squeeze me in between his last project and the next much bigger project because my roof was leaking and the next on agreed to wait a few days longer since his was not an immediate emergency! He utilized far better materials then the original ones and added a new type of weather shield and better flashing and 30 year tiles with a 10 year labor warranty! "Great. The removal of the old shingles was more difficult than expected but the price did not change. Also, some unexpected repairs to the roof decking were required so Dennis gave me a fair price for the additional work and went above and beyond by doing some additional adjustments to give proper attic ventilation after he found another problem with the original construction. All prices were very fair and the work was done in a timely manner. I felt like Dennis took great pride in the work, like he was working on his own house. He was happy to explain and show me what he found, what he was doing and why it should be done. He has also checked in with me more than once over the last year since the work was done to ensure my satisfaction with the job. All told, two layers of shingles were removed and replaced, new vapor barrier - 50% more coverage than needed for code, new drip edges and ridge vent, warped and rotted decking was replaced, adjustments made to allow for ventilation from the soffits, and new boiler vent pipe."
