"I got one of those deals on Angie’s List for roof maintenance. I got a response in less than 24 hrs. Jesus showed up on time. He assessed the problem and showed me pictures. It was pretty much what I expected: a leak around the solar panels. He checked the rest of the roof as well. Jesus fixed the problem area without any additional charges. He was very thorough and professional. I’d recommend him to any of my friends."

"It's been 8 years since my roof was done and it still looks great. I guess the best compliment I've had in a while came from my neighbor who chose Fort Seldon Roofing based on my recommendation and told me how satisfied he was with the entire experience. He said he paid a little more for his energy efficient TPO roof than ordinary roofs from competing roofers but he knows the investment will pay off for years."

"Kathy N, the engineer/construction supervisor and her wonderful team helped us understand options for wall movements, door placements and changes necessary in structural adjustments.  Kathy L the designer was very patient as she walked us through options of style (Mediterranean, traditional, modern, etc.) and small design issues (faux painting, appliance matching, cabinet wood and pulls, etc).   <br /> Work included moving one wall and changing one entry door into the kitchen area.  cabinets were all designed from scratch with an excellent functional work area that flows well today after 4 years.  The two types and color of granite are perfect compliments and add so much to the kitchen look and functionality.  We found all the workmen to be conscientious, skilled and open to questions and ideas.  What few little things went not according to plan i.e. termites found on removal of old cabinets or hole punctured in adjoining bathroom wall, were all dealt with quickly and efficiently by Nick, the onsite foreman.  Not only were they top notch in all ways, but we brought them back a year later to do a backyard outdoor kitchen, again with the same level of expertise.   <br /> Perhaps the best example of ultimate service occurred 2 years after completing the back yard BBQ/outdoor kitchen, when a piece of the slate behind the BBQ collapsed in after a heavy rain storm.  Nick was on the spot within a short period of time and not only had it repaired and reinforced, but had his crew completely rebuff the entire slate area even fixing some chips we had put in it.  What a surprise to come home and find them rebuffing and resealing the slate.   <br /> <br /> Over all a pleasant experience remodeling (I used to think that was an oxymoron) with an excellent team, dedicated professionals at about the same price or slightly higher than other bids we had but so much more value than we anticipated."

"We were very happy with every phase of our dealings with PetersenDean. Their approach was to determine first what we were trying to accomplish in replacing our roof. They showed and discussed the alternatives. We met one day for the discussion and Tim and a helper were out to measure the roof early the next morning. He prepared a detailed estimate and reviewed it with us within two days. The job was started and finished as scheduled."

"We have tried to be understanding, we know they had to move their business due to the work on Grant Rd..  We were really hoping to have the screen room scheduled so we could schedule our own time.  We both work 40+ a week so it would REALY be nice to know what to expect. After the expected 3 week wait, we did not receive a call so we called and left several messages before we ever got a call back.  They blamed it on the move--then they blamed it on another job...  But, as we told them, it would be nice to be kept in the loop.  It is a relatively small job but we keep being pushed back.  Our first bill for the portion we did not pay up front has come and will be due in June and still no word from them.   We feel that we were very naïve to pay for the service and not have gotten a date of service.  Everyone we've called or spoken with since has said this is highly irregular.  The salesman said that we would not have to begin paying until the work has been performed but when I called Synchrony Bank who financed half the job, they say yes, the payment is due on the due date regardless if they have finished or not.  Maybe this will have a happy ending, I hope so but I doubt we'd use them again.  Very unprofessional.  Not responsive, does not keep the customer informed and when we call to inquire, act as though we're being impatient and silly.  We are keeping close track of each communication and the timeline and will post back to let everyone know the outcome. <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Benson, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
