Gerry talked through what we wanted done with our maple tree, gave us some advice, and gave us a written estimate on the spot. On our appointment day, Gerry called to let me know that Marcos and his crew would be coming out and when to expect them. Marcos and crew definitely knew what they were doing. "On 8/14/20 NaturaLawn technician Robert Braun arrived to apply the third lawn fertilizer application for the year. Robert was very pleasant and efficient and even took the time to spot treat the few unavoidable weeds that had materialized since the last application. At the same time Robert arrived we had received a shipment from another company for a product that weighed over 160 pounds. When he noticed the shipping company technician would not bring the container into the house, Robert offered to do so for us! It was a beautiful act of kindness on his part and we are so grateful for his generosity. Our lawn is looking great with NaturaLawn. We fully intend to utilize NaturaLawn going forward and hope Robert continues to be assigned as our lawn technician.”"

The optimal transplanting season depends on your tree species, but most trees respond best when moved during dormancy. For deciduous trees, late fall after leaf drop or early spring before bud break provides the lowest stress periods. Most transplanted trees require one to two years to fully establish in their new location, with larger specimens often needing additional time. During this establishment period, the tree regenerates roots that were inevitably lost during the move. Signs of successful establishment include normal seasonal growth patterns, healthy leaf development, and reduced dependence on supplemental watering. The quality of aftercare during this critical period significantly influences long-term survival rates.
Self-transplanting is feasible for small trees with trunk diameters under two to three inches if you have proper tools and follow correct techniques. However, medium to large trees require professional expertise and specialized equipment to ensure tree survival and property protection. While professional services cost more initially, they achieve much higher success rates and prevent potential damage to your property or the tree itself.
