"I had gotten 3 estimates on replacing a wooden 4 rail fence surrounding my 2 acre property. Erik from Chesterfield Fencing was the last one I talked to and was very thorough on the products and procedure. Presented me with a high tech type estimate/quote. I'm impressed how the company has invested in such a beneficial program but doesn't seem to affect the cost of the job. 1st company (recommended by long time friend) estimator/owner had me hold tape measure in between an electrical storm (two houses in my area got hit by lightning in that very storm and quote was hand drawn not to mention they were the highest $!) Jacob came out to show me a sample of the aluminum fencing I had asked for when company #2 lowered the $ to meet Chesterfield. "We have a historical restoration building in downtown Washington, D.C. We had sent out nationally 75 bids for period construction and historical restoration work. This job included replication or historical tiles in all bathrooms and also replication of historical tiles in all hallways. Also the replication/repair of period wooden windows, which were rotted, also floors needed structural repairs made. There was a large amount of decorative plaster relief work, which had to be repaired, and molds made to replicate areas that were non-existent. The exterior had a great deal of masonry repair work which included repointing of all brick and stone work. Also included in the exterior of this job was stone carvings that needed repair/replacement. Out of all of the responses to our bids which we national bids we centered upon the most knowledgeable and gifted company probably the best in the U.S.A which was Grady"s Construction and Plastering of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
