Cut N Dry Landscaping is a locally owned landscaping and hardscaping company located in the foothills of NC with over 4 years experience.
"Cohen did an excellent job replacing our front yard sod and re-seeding the side/back yard. He had to re-grade our front yard to fix some issues that our builder created and did a great job smoothing that out. He also set us up for continued success with a maintenance schedule, and has been quick to respond to any questions we had. 1 month later and our yard is the best in the neighborhood."

"7/3/2020 to 7/10/2020. Initially, I was pleased because they showed up when they said they would. Rocky's son, Donovan and and his fiancee, Winter were our first contacts. We were very impressed with them. We exchanged our budget and ideas. Rocky got involved when the work began. The whole project went to **** after that. Rocky started telling me that everything Donovan and I had agreed upon would cost extra. .When I showed him the contract and the agreed upon price, he ignored it. He was in on the negotiations, by phone, for the initial estimate. Fearing that Rocky would leave the job half-done, I paid him what he demanded. At that point, I thought the money had been handled. The biggest slap in the face was when he knocked on the door and informed me that I owed him $300 more. I told him that I didn't think I had the extra money. His response was, "I'm sure you'll find it." He claimed that he had to dig down trenches around the paving blocks to distribute pea-gravel that I had purchased. My husband and I watched his future daughter-in-law and his two young grandchildren create small furrows with their fingers around the paving blocks. They opened a bag of gravel and pour some pebbles into the furrows. From beginning to end, this whole process took 10-15 minutes. As they were packing up to leave, I noticed that the job was not finished. When I called him on it he said, "that's what you told me you wanted." It wasn't! I had to drag his son into the conversation to support my claim even though I had it in writing. Prior to his work, I had received 3 estimates which came within a few hundred dollars of each other. When I complained to him on the phone later, he told me he would talk to me about the additional money when he had finished the job he had left undone. We never saw or heard from him again. A job that was estimated to cost $2,800.00 to $3,000.00 ended up costing me $7,000.00."

Absolutely. For large-scale projects like a home renovation, major decluttering, roofing job, or significant landscaping, a dumpster rental is invaluable. It offers a single, convenient place for all waste, saving you the time, fuel, and hassle of making multiple trips to a landfill or recycling center. This keeps your property safer and more organized during the project. While not necessary for small cleanups, for any job that generates substantial debris, a dumpster is a highly efficient and often cost-effective solution for waste management.
Set the dumpster on a hard, level surface—driveway asphalt, pavers, or concrete all work—to keep the container stable and avoid damage. Skip soft or sloped ground where the box could sink or tip. Check local rules ahead of delivery and pull a permit if the dumpster will sit on a public street or block a sidewalk. These quick steps help you sidestep accidents, extra fees, and headaches down the road.
A standard 10‑yard dumpster is 14 feet long, 7.5 feet wide, and 3.5 feet tall. It handles roughly two to three tons of debris—perfect for a bath remodel, roofing tear‑off, or a full‑garage cleanout. Dimensions can vary slightly by company, so double‑check measurements and weight limits with your provider before booking.
Most companies rent by the week, but many will let you keep the box anywhere from a few days to several months. After the standard period, expect a small daily fee of $5 to $10 for each extra day. Ask your provider upfront about cut‑off dates and overage charges so you can line up delivery and pickup with your project timeline and budget.
Start by estimating how many cubic yards of debris you’ll toss and whether it’s light household junk or weighty materials like concrete. Then run those numbers past the rental company—they’ll match you with the size that fits your load and keeps you clear of costly overage fees. When in doubt, sizing up a notch is better than paying extra tonnage later.
