"Nathan of Family Doors LLC was GREAT! He came out when he said he would for an estimate & I got the estimate the same day. We hired him & he was here 1 week later removing the old, 26+ yr old garage door & installing the new one. He had the new door installed in 2 1/2 hrs! He worked alone & did a GREAT job. And we LOVE the door. I would definitely recommend Family Doors LLC & would also hire them again."

"Chris showed up promptly and couldn't have been better. He removed his shoes (without being asked to) before coming into the house, and he went to work. Before I knew it, our shower caulk, which had been a real mess, was just beautiful. If you need this service done, choose this company. The next time we need caulking or grouting work done in either of our bathrooms, this is who we'll call! <br />"

"We had an issue with the light not working in the master bath. I swapped out the switch myself and it still didn't work. I checked and everything else on the same circuit was out as well. The breaker was OK so I called our regular handy-man. He couldn't fix it and said, "You need to call an electrician." <br /> I called and Rickel Electric was prompt; they offered to come the next day and that didn't work for my schedule so they came the following day. <br /> The technician who came was extremely kind and very professional. I have no complaints with the service provided. We did have one issue, though. I originally told them that I needed a switch fixed and that I had ten (10) other switches to be replaced. After having talked with them, I found some others that I wanted to replace so, ultimately, I needed thirteen (13) replaced. <br /> The technician fixed the problem in the master bath and swapped out the switches. I was at work and my wife called. She said the tech. told her that he needed payment at the time of completion. I was not told this originally over the phone when I made arrangements. This wasn't a problem though...I didn't/don't mind paying immediately so I went home and gave the technician a check. <br /> When I came home at the end of the day, my wife told me that the technician forgot to replace two of the switches. I thought, "No big deal..." and I swapped them out myself as I had purchased all of the switches myself and had them on-hand for the technician. <br /> The next morning, my wife went into the front bathroom and found two more switches that the technician forgot. So, out of a total of thirteen (13) switches, he forgot to swap four (4). I took care of two of them but at this point, I decided two contact Rickel. <br /> I sent an email explaining what happened and this was just before Memorial Day weekend. The following Tuesday came and went and I didn't get a reply...so I called. <br /> I was told that the cost of the job was based on the labor of fixing the switch and my original request for replacing ten (10) switches. I understood/understand this...and I had thirteen (13) thirteen switches. So, as was pointed out to me, I was charged for the replacement of ten (10) so there was a real discrepancy of one (1) switch. This is true. <br /> However, I was told that normally, the way they bill is a flat fee per service call ($90, I think) and then the labor cost. Then, I was told that, if I wanted to have a technician come and install the remaining two switches, they would waive the standard fee for the service call but that they would charge me labor ($65/hour). <br /> I told them that I understood their reasoning ("understood"...not that I agreed) and told them I would install the switches myself. <br /> My problem is, even though I was given a price for a repair and the replacement of ten (10) switches, regardless of the fact that I actually had thirteen (13) switches, the job was incomplete because the technician only did nine (9). So, to me, even if he came to install ONE switch, THAT should be free of charge (i.e., no service fee and no labor) because THAT was the original agreed-upon scope of work. Not 13 and not 9...10. I paid for ten (10) and I only had nine (9) replaced...so I shouldn't be charged anything more to complete the job because the original job was never fully completed. <br /> I understand that we're talking about one light switch but to me, it is the principle. If an agreement is made, you hold up your end of the agreement. I told Rickel in my original email (to which they didn't reply) that I understood mistakes are made and that I was still very happy with the technician and the service they provided...I just wanted to rectify the issue with the two remaining switches and said that they could come replace the two remaining switches or give me a credit for the percentage that remained incomplete. <br /> This was when, over the phone, I was told that it was really only a matter of one switch because the original scope only included ten...to which I agreed...but still, that leaves the job as incomplete in my book and I shouldn't be asked to pay anything extra to complete that job. <br /> I do my own business and were I in this position as an owner/operator, I would have completed the one switch at no cost to the customer because that, I believe, is my professional OBLIGATION based on the original agreement. Then, out of courtesy and good business-practice, I would replace the second switch (one above and beyond the original agreement) because it happened to be in the same box and it demonstrates excellent customer service. <br /> I did not EXPECT Rickel to do the eleventh switch for free...but I DID expect that they would complete the original job with switch number ten and not tell me that I would be charged labor cost (and imply that they were doing me a kindness by not charging me the standard $90 fee for a service call). <br /> In a nutshell, all other details aside, it boils down to this: I was told that the agreed-upon price was based on the labor of the one repair and the replacement of ten switches. I agreed and paid for that. What I received was the repair and the replacement of nine switches. It's that simple. Is it a small thing? Yes. Am I being anal? Maybe. However, if I agree upon something I hold up my end and I expect the same in return. <br /> Overall, the technician was great...he fixed the problem in the master bath and I don't care that he made a mistake in forgetting any number of switches. I'm reasonable. As I said, I know that mistakes are made. I DO think that management should have resolved the issue in a different manner so as to complete the original job. But...oh well <br /> Prior to calling Rickel I called two other electricians and they didn't even return my call...so, given the utter lack of professionalism and customer service out there, I will call Rickel again if I need an electrician but I will be very clear about the terms up front and I will double-check everything upon completion. <br /> <br />"

"Overall, very well. The company representative was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had all my questions answered in an honest and straight forward way. The company encouraged me to read some neutral articles about transporting a car and what to look for and what to ask. They were very helpful and not pushy like some other companies that I had contacted. The car arrived earlier than the estimated time. The condition of the car was exactly as it had been when it got loaded. I especially liked that we were able to put up to 100 pounds worth of personal belongings in the car. There was some disconnect between United Freight and the driver. I was told the car would be picked up on Monday and, since I was told it was door to door, I assumed he would be at our house. We have wide streets in our neighborhood so I did not think there would be a problem. Instead, the driver called Saturday evening, said he was picking up on Sunday morning and we were to meet him at a nearby shopping center. But the car did get delivered to the address at the other end."

"It was very, very good. He came when he said he would. He went right over to Mernard's and brought the new door back, took the old one off and put the new one on. He did a fine job and even got rid of the old door and the box the new one came in."

"Kent the owner is very professional. You don't feel pressured to buy. He explained their services and showed me prices up front. Their installer Terry is great. We had to install 5 baby gates and some other locks. Our stairs are odd shaped so we decided to hire an outside company. I highly recommend."

"SwainCo impressed me from the first contact. They were very responsive to all my concerns, patiently answered all my many questions and outlined a thorough plan to fit my needs. I had contacted 3 other companies for comparisons, and I found SwainCo to meet or beat all other plans and estimates (Including one company whose representative did not even bother to enter the crawl space when he came for the appointment). Through out the working days, the crew arrived in a timely manor, worked diligently, kept me informed on there progress, and consulted me whenever there was a decision to be made. All the members of the crew were very professional and friendly. At the end of each day, everything was cleaned up neatly both inside and outside of the house. Several weeks later I had a problem with a new dryer. They responded very quickly, modified the ducking and had the dryer working perfectly in less than 2 hours- all at not other charge. I cannot praise SwainCo highly enough. They are the very best not only in there work but also in there customer service."
