There was an Angie's List deal for an inspection which I purchased, and braced for the bad news. Contacted promptly the same Sunday, and an appointment scheduled at my earliest convenience. The service provider did an un rushed, thorough job. Found that, indeed, the unit had not been recently maintained, but that he only found the need for the heat exchange coils to be cleaned, a pound of coolant, and a switch replaced. Assessed that, despite its age, the unit was otherwise holding up well and likely to perform well another year or two. A pleasant surprise as I was bracing to be quoted replacement costs. The unit is now running great, and I have time to properly plan and shop for a replacement HVAC or geothermal system. No issues. A good honest job and repairs. Price seemed commensurate with the service provided. <br />"

"Drainage at rear of house under deck was corrected by: (1) trenching out soil and installing 4 (four-inch diameter) perforated drain pipes for a combined length of about 75 feet; (2) sod was removed in lawn area and soil was trenched out for installation of a solid four-inch drain pipe which runs about 25 feet downhill to tree line; (3) the four perforated pipes were then connected to the solid drain pipe; (4) trenches containing perforated drain pipes were filled with drainage gravel; (5) trench containing solid drain pipe was filled with dirt and covered with sod that had been previously removed. Net result: water under deck will seep into perforated pipes, enter the solid drain pipe and run to tree area located downhill from house. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Area under deck was aesthetically improved by: (1) installation of 66 patio stones (18-inch by 24-inches each) for creation of a 30-foot sidewalk to two exterior doors and a 12-foot by 6-foot patio area; (2) installation of a new beam support for a porch swing; (3) installation of the porch swing; (4) spreading of 36 bags of river rock under deck to surround area not covered by patio stones. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Water heater installation included removal of old appliance, relocation of new water heater to an adjacent area in furnace room and installation of additional in-line vents to bring new water heater to code and warranty requirements."
