We felt so comfortable with Ben, and rather than try to upsell us as others did, he helped us figure out ways we could get the job done within our budget. The quote offered several options which was quite helpful in our choices. During our decision period, we had several questions and he responded immediately every time. When it came time for the work, the crew was always on time and professional. They cleaned up and you could barely tell they were even here at the end of the day. We were glad to see that the crew was able to take several water breaks (in nearly 100-degree heat) and time off for lunch and they still finished the job ahead of schedule. "Called them after seeing a special offer on an infomercial. I've had solar panels for over 15 years, which I installed myself, so I'm probably more informed on what I needed vs. what they were trying to sell. To my pleasant surprise, the package that the sales rep put together was in line with what I wanted. Since this was in addition to the existing panels, which already occupied the prime roof area, the planning and layout was probably more challenging than a standard job. Since PD is a big organization, sales, planning and permitting, and installation were all handled by different departments, but we had a single coordinator that was in communication with us by phone and email as we went through each stage. They were great in getting through the planning and approvals, especially with getting the information for our HOA and interfacing with PG&E. The main installation of the panels and wiring was completed in less than a day! (It took me several days to install my first system, 15 years ago.) After a couple of quick returns to install an additional ground rod and install the monitoring interface, we were done. The improvements in the panels and supporting electronics over the last 15 years is impressive. One of the key factors in deciding to add the extra panels was the low-interest financing. With a 12-year loan, the loan payment is essentially offset by the reduced electricity bill (since it's adding to my exiting system, the savings aren't as great as a new install), but I know that these panels can keep producing way past the last loan payment. But, the main reason I added the panels was to cut down on fossil power. I don't consider myself a tree hugger by any stretch of the imagination, but if I can help slow the meltdown of the planet, even a little, without any dollars out of my pocket, and eventually same some bucks in the process, why not?"

"Dan Rossetta, the owner, came out to the house to determine the square footage and brought multiple samples for inspection and choice. He explained the ridge vent concept and after review as mentioned, I chose his company. Due to the many houses that were being done in the area at this time ( people remodeling, selling or fixing), I had to wait for my turn. I did not mind this because although my roof was beginning to shed shingles, it was intact. Dan called me in January and told me if I was ready, they would be there the following week. The crew arrived promptly and began removal. I talked to Dan this day and I had previous mentioned, that if at all possible, could they extend a section of the roof above the front door. This would allow packages delivered to stay dry if it rained also us as we entered the house. He and his lead came up with an excellent design. Half the roof was stripped the first day. ( There was a possibility of slight rain which the crew was prepared for. (tarps-- etc). The next day they completed the removal. They discovered a few areas under the eaves that showed signs of dry rot. Dan called and notified me. The price for replacing the plywood at these point seemed more then fair. The following day the shingles arrived in the morning and work began. At this time I was also working with a company that would be installing 2 sunlight tubes on my roof which Dan coordinated. The extension over the doorway was completed at this time and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. The job was completed by the 4th day with exception of painting the flashing due to slight moisture in the air. This was completed the following Monday. Dan has a top notch crew and a fantastic lead. I would recommend this company to any and everybody."

"It was a pleasure to work with Sean and his crew. They acted quickly and professionally to complete the job. Coordination with solar installers was seemless and well received. My grip was post work. The installers cracked a skylight and left a portion where siding meets roof unfinished. When contacted I was provided the usual that it was already broken and the work passed inspection. The tone was very different post work and payment so ecareful to get all things checked before releasing the final payment. I'm a long time customer and expected better treatment. Remember to check before you pay."

"Last winter during one of our few rain storms we developed a leak due to rusted out flashing around one of our chimneys. The leak started as a trickle on a Saturday morning and by Monday had spread to several leaks throughout our kitchen and family room. Stars and Stripe's pricing was fair and slightly lower after receiving numerous quotes to do the job. Once we made the decision to use Stars and Stripes, we were swiftly placed on a schedule to perform the repairs. A crew of four men worked on our home for a full three days to complete the roofing job. Then, a separate crew of two men followed up to install about 25 feet of new gutters and downspouts around a Portico at the entrance of our home. All work was done on time and looks beautiful. The quality of the work appears top notch. The jobsite was left clean and orderly during the procedure as well as once complete. I am looking forward to a wet winter to make sure that the leaks will be gone for good."
