"I had hired Arborway many years ago to remove a tree from my yard, so I called them to inquire about a quote to trim my neighbor's trees back from my house.  When I called, I was told that if I wanted to schedule an appointment for a quote, it would take several weeks due to the fact that they were still busy after Hurricane Irene.  The woman I spoke with recommended that we simply have one of their arborists stop by the house when he was able to and then he would call me to discuss the work, probably within a week, so that's the option I took.  <br /> <br /> Coincidentally, I ran into the arborist as I was on my way out of the house one day.  We chatted briefly about the job, and soon afterwards, I received an estimate in the mail.  The quote was within 5% of another quote I got for the same job, so it seemed reasonable, but I didn't like the fact that I wouldn't have met the arborist if I hadn't accidentally run into him when he was at the house.  I like to be able to meet with the people who are going to do the work, or at least meet someone who represents the company so I can get a feel for their expertise and professionalism.   <br /> <br /> As it turns out, our neighbor hired their own tree trimmer to cut the trees back, so I didn't have to hire anyone for the job.  But I wouldn't have hired Arborway due to the way they arranged for the estimate.   Although it may have been the most efficient way to provide an estimate, it didn't seem to me like the most professional way. <br />"

"I've pretty much had it with Green Lawn. Every year upon start up, I ask, and expect, the service tech to fully check all zones and coverage, and every year they screw it up one way or another. I'll have areas that receive no coverage, or broken heads that leak, etc. Revisits have not resolved the problems on a couple of occasions. There are always plenty of apologies, but enough is enough. I'm moving on to another company. <br />"
