"We were thrilled that Callen was willing to take our project on. He quickly got us a reasonable quote and on the schedule within a reasonable amount of time. We’d have appreciated more proactive scheduling as there was a vague agreement as to the day, but not the time. We were pleased he came early and got it done quickly, but when we noticed the service locator had not marked utilities, I called to confirm the day. I saw him that morning and he claimed he had called 811, who never stopped by. So either that wasn’t true, or he could have done more to verify to protect the phone line we pointed out when the job was bid. I thought he would grind the stump deeper than he did, and I asked about it when he was done. It did not fulfill the expectation I understood when it was bit. However, we are glad to have the stumps ground and level with the yard."

"Recent heavy snow caused havoc, with car stuck in driveway, the driveway itself impassable, way beyond the capability of my little snow thrower. Called BLK; they were nearby and arrived quickly. Plowed a beautiful wide path from the street (first removed the huge snow/ice berm left by the city plow) to the garage, shoveled a path from the garage to the house, unstuck the car, and plowed a path along the whole front property line for foot traffic to use.
