"AM Sun Solar arranged zero down financing with a credit union providing low interest rates (4.99% APR) over 12 years, with monthly loan
payments lower than the old electric bills. Additionally, our home Fair Market Value should have increased $54,000 immediately, according to criteria of both the Solar Advantage Value Estimator and the 'Appraisal Journal". Plus, the unique inverter installed provides backup 'emergency' daylight electricity from solar power alone (without the need of any storage batteries or outside mechanical generator) during PG&E blackouts. (That is important to more than just survivalists! And it saves hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, by avoiding costly batteries or generators.) Did I mention that going solar helps reduce the footprint of our house and helps save the environment? We are now part of the 15 million homes needed to go solar in California, by installing "5-kilowatt residential rooftop photovoltaic systems", for the Golden State to cut its energy usage in half by 2050, and thereby "eliminate air pollution mortality and global warming emissions from California" (according to the journal 'Energy' and "Stanford News Service', based upon Stanford University research outlining a plan to get California to 100% renewable energy by 2050)!
"

"The roof came off, no dry rot was found other than at the edges of the rear of the roof and that was fixed at no extra charge. I had gone over getting a better grade shingle that wasn't available so I went to ALL Roofing Materials yard in Salinas and met with Tom and Joy there. They brought samples of additional shingles from another nearby city but I had discovered the Presidiential Shake TL by then and we worked out a price that didn't break my bank. This shingle is heavier and more timely to lay down but Tom and Joy worked out a doable price. I spent a year interviewing roofers by phone or email - including the estimate by T J Roofers. Not one other company was as professional or honest about what they would or could do for a set price and if extra was needed would agree to cap it until I spoke with TJ Roofing. They love their work and it shows. They don't accept credit cards but their prices are lower than those who do and so much better that I made sure I raised the monies I needed. I now have the best - maybe the only - lifetime roof in the neighborhood! Initially I was going for a 50 year roof but this roof is apples vs lemons. I chose the medium grade and it's a beauty. Their crew is a delight - the owners more so. The kind of people you want to invite in for dinner. After spending the time to investigate so many roofers and coming back to the initial one of three I can tell you it's easy for people to write good reviews and bump their status. I know who the bad roofers are and there are many. TJ Roofing is a GREAT roofing that should be number one in roofers on this site or any other for Monterey and any surrounding counties that they cover. When they work on your home? It's ONLY your job, not two others on the side. They've been doing this a long time and the city inspectors respect them. I highly recommend TJ Roofing! I can't post a photo of the house but they have pictures they can send if you want to see the job. Awesome job, thank you so much for crowning our home with the beautiful durable Presidential Shake TL with the Aged Bark shingles.
"

"Cesar and his team remodeled my complete kitchen. They removed my dated island and constructed a custom frame to accommodate a new quartz top. This island included some plumbing, cabinets and tile work that Cesar himself attended to and completed. We will definitely hire Cesar again for our upcoming projects."

"
Max Baggett is a great guy to work with, friendly and accommodating. He always got back to me in a timely manner when I called and explained clearly what he was going to do so I knew exactly what was going to happen. He's not inexpensive but he tries to keep cost down as much as possible while still giving you good quality work. I expect the workmanship will last many, many years. He and his crew did a first rate job in upgrading my 1950's home. He gave excellent advice and if he wasn't sure on some decorating point he admitted it. The kitchen hadn't had any work done on it since the 1960's. The first job I had done was the 3/4 wall height paneling I had installed in the kitchen eating area. It looks like something from a craftsman house. It instantly added interest in the kitchen. The next thing was replacing the formica counters in the kitchen with silestone. I also had a tumbled marble back splash put in at the same time to match the silestone counters. I am very happy with the results.

After that was remodeling the bathroom, also from the early 1960's. It was gutted. When replacing some walls it was found to have extensive termite damage, almost all the wood had been eaten where the bathroom window was. The only thing holding it up was the outside of the house! Max took me personally to pick out the bathroom sink stone top at a small stone yard so I didn't need to buy a huge piece, I appreciated that a lot. So I saved money there. His talented work crew did a bang up job installing the tile in the room.

The next to the last job done was evening and replacing all the floors in the house. The kitchen floor wasn't the same height as the adjoining floors and people would trip going in or out of the kitchen. That was fixed. The carpet in the living room and bedrooms was over 40 years old and was replaced with a dark hardwood floor including the hallway. New carpeting was installed in the bedrooms. Crown molding was installed throughout the house. The crown molding looks especially outstanding in the hallway.

The last thing done was installing a gas insert and covering the original brick fireplace with green marble. I kept the original wood mantel. The fireplace is a fantastic focal point of the room now.

If I should need any more work done I would definitely have Max do the work as it is top quality.

"
