"tThe provider was on time and provided quality service. The provider did the work as indicated. The provider sanded the tub, refinished, and painted the tub. After  completion of the work, the tub looked new. I would recommend this company and I will be using this company in the future. <br />"

"Everything went fantastic. We actually love our kitchen and laundry room now. We had gotten to the point we hated the kitchen and tolerated the laundry room. Now both and especially the kitchen look very elegant. Working with Micah was wonderful. He was very professional, offered many suggestions on what was needed or how it should be done. He was honest, listened and understood what we needed, went out of his way to insure that we were happy and was very meticulous about his work. <br /> We have a very large kitchen so needless to say it was a major undertaking especially correcting all the problems left by the original cabinet maker. When Micah finished it looked like we had installed all new high-end cabinets but at almost half the price of putting in new cabinets. <br /> So anyone that has a situation like us where the cabinet boxes themselves are salvageable we highly recommend Residential Facelift.  We had looked at other companies that reface kitchen cabinets but found that their techniques were not appealing and were more expensive. We are definitely pleased with the work Residential Facelift had done and highly recommend them. In fact we are already thinking about them doing the cabinets and trim in our master bathroom (again fixing the disaster from the original cabinet maker)."

"There are 5 steps in this process. <br /> The first, is of course, selecting the desired granite & sinks.  The sinks are already included in the price. <br /> The second step is a template is made of your current counter top measurements.  This requires that your countertops be cleared off completely, as the template is made not by measuring but by laying thin strips of wood on the back, sides and around the sink actually making a physical template.  If your are upgrading your faucets, it's necessary to already have them so the faucet hole in the granite can be cut along with the rest of the granite. <br /> The third step is tear out of the old counter tops.  Again, counter tops must be cleared off completely.  Also I removed the drawers & laid old sheets over anything left in the bottom of the cabinets.  The tear out went smoothly, no unintentional collateral damage & it wasn't as messy as I was expecting.  The guys were friendly, did a nice job and cleaned up after themselves. <br /> The 4th step is the installation of the granite countertops & new sinks.  For a kitchen and two bathrooms this took approximately 3hrs.  The installers were careful to cover the floors to protect them while they worked.  Now, I'm not a craftsman but everything looked great.  Again, they made a concious effort to clean up after themselves. <br /> The 5th step is the plumbing.  Installing the faucets and garbage disposal if needed.  This was done quickly & a month later still no problems or leaks detected. They even cleaned out the U or pea trap in the pipes. <br /> I would definitely recommend this company.  The only complaint that I had was that sometimes my calls were not returned by the workers - making me have to call again. Alicia always seemed available & always returned calls - the difficulty came when trying to contact the actual skilled laborers. <br /> Additional Costs(other than install price per sq ft):faucets upgrade $200 eachtear-out $250plumbing $350 <br /> Lessons Learned:To get a square-foot measurement, measure the length and width of your countertop. Multiply these numbers together. If you've measured in inches, divide the result by 144 to get to approximate square footage.  This does not have to be exact just a ball park to get an estimate. <br /> Upgraded from builders grade, laminate counters which had a small front lip covering an inch or two of the cabinets frame - the granite is flush with the counter which left this previous unseen area exposed & needing paint.  <br /> The top of the dishwasher which was also hidden by the laminate counter lip now had a noticeable gap. The installers are not responsible for this issue & suggested just adjusting the dishwasher legs, but the gap was larger than the legs could be heightened requiring a piece of wood to be placed & painted. <br /> Upgraded from builders grade, laminate counters - the backsplash of 2-3 inches on the side walls was higher than the granite backsplash, so once the laminate was removed the sheetrock behind it was exposed.  This area needed additional sheetrock mud to smooth the indentation plus paint.  If possible do this in advance  - the template guy pried them off during his visit - allowing two weeks before installation to accomplish this. <br />"

"Hand scraped bamboo flooring was installed in the living room and stairs of our prior home. 18 inch tiles including the needed sub flooring were placed in the kitchen. Jared and his crew did a great job, were timely and professional, and were very responsive. Additionally, the price was fair for the quality of work produced and we have since rehired to repair the deck on a recently purchased home."

"I would rate this job as nothing short of fantastic.  When Connie provided me with the estimate, I couldn't believe my eyes.  I went no further since her estimate was nearly half of the other estimate I received.  I went out of town during the painting and left my house keys with Connie.  I totally trusted her and the company since they had done some work for a neighbor.  When I returned I was simply delighted.  The cabinets looked like they were new and all the hardware had been replaced.  I would hire them again in a heartbeat.  I would fully recommend their services."

"I worked with Jody Gentle, and he and the Braswell Construction Group delivered on their promises and workmanship.  I was especially impressed with the work on the roof.  The crew arrived on time and worked diligently to get the roof done in one day. Jody was here several times during the day to make sure everything was performed as contracted. The crew put down protectors for my shrubs which are all around the house and none were damaged, and the clean-up was unbelievable.  I had a whole dumpster full of roofing material once they were done and I loved that they sweep the property with magnets to collect all the nails. <br /> Jody and I walked the property at the end of the day as he wanted to make sure I was a happy customer with the roof. The rest of the project was done within a couple of days. <br /> I can say we are extremely happy with the Braswell Construction Group and will use them again in the future. <br />"

"Paul and his crew professionally installed the metal roof over a shingled roof on our two car detached garage. They arrived when they said they would and finished inside of one day. All debris was cleaned up and hauled off and a rolling magnet was used across the yard area several times to pick up any nails, screws or other metal scrap. We have been very pleased with the work that this contractor does and would not hesitate to contact him regarding any work we may need done in the future."

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Brinson, GA

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
