I’m new to this type of business I have mowed before and done properly cleaned up work before so I’m looking to start my own mowing and property cleanup business.

"A neighbor uses Hemax. We called them the day after the ice storm and asked if they coud shovel our driveway. They said they charge $75 per person per hour and, depending on the size of our driveway, it could take 4-5 persons 4-5 hours. They came on Tuesday with 2 men and a plow. They finished the job in exactly an hour. We got an invoice 3 days later for $450, with no explanation how that figure was arrived at. When I called, I was told it included travel time. I said their company is a half hour from our house so that made no sense. I asked that the charge be reconsidered. When I called again, I was told they have a 6 hour minimum ($75/hr for 6 hours is $450) for any job. No minimum had been mentioned before. I asked for a manager to call me but have heard nothing. They did good work but we won?t use them again."

I had to text him & got a 1 word response. "Do I need to find another lawn service?" Response: "Yeah" Do yourself a favor. Hire a real professional."
