"From start to finish the experience was great. I was so happy with them that I did not do a price comparison. I feel I got my money's worth! I had an area that was just dirt where the patio should have been. When I bought my home, there was a rotty old deck covering this bare patch. I tried using flag stones and vegetation but it never really worked...so I finally called the cement guys to patch it up. <br /> First they gave me a rough estimate over the phone, which helped tremendously, to get a feel for what I would be looking at. Then Ignacio came out and inspected the area and gave me a formal proposal. I liked him immediately and felt confident to move forward. In my previous home I'd had extensive concrete done and knew enough to recognize a quality team. <br /> Sure enough, they came promptly the next day, worked all day and finished and cleaned up with no sign of their having been there. I really liked that they dug down deep, included rebar, and hand tinted the concrete for the final finish. It was exactly what I asked for, a smooth tinted finish. <br />  I still need to arrange the plants a bit, but Ignacio even volunteered to have a guy come back and help me! I am so impressed by their employees, who were courteous and very professional. The work is great. They did a really fine job trying to match a motley colored tile that covers the rest of the patio. He built a complex 7 ft retaining wall, foundation, built 2 rockline swales, repaired street apron that was cracked and built deck stair piers on a slope and with bedrock drilldowns while undergoing geotech inspections - all work passed with County and geotechnical inspectors in our unusual conditions. I couldn't be happier. Angel and his team are now my trusted partners. Angel caught 2 discrepancies on our engineered plans and because of his attention to detail we were able to get them resolved without big delays. He saved us many times during my project. Angel and his workers are absolutely the hardest working people sometimes doing hand concrete work and many loads of wheel barreling that other contractors wouldn't do."

He's a busy guy, but it isn't too hard to firm up the contract. <br /> He took care of our permits and started work before the originally estimated date. Slightly odd, perhaps and quot;unprofessionaland quot; by definition? On the other hand: The quality of the work is outstanding: Professionalism where it counts! The crew is skilled and attentive to detail. <br /> Very few concrete contractors follow the DPW codes to the letter -- I looked up these overly complicated requirements. The real test of reliability is how quickly the contractor obtains permits and then instant approval of the completed work. "Michael Crum Concrete was recommended to me by a co-worker who indicated he provided excellent work at a fair and competitive price. I Contacted Mike and he came out to my property to see the job site and discuss what I wanted (a large circular pad to accommodate a heavy water storage tank.. He provided his thoughts on the project and then an estimate to get the job done. Based upon my friends review and what I saw in other reviews, I accepted Mike's estimate and hired him to do the job. He gave me a date and time that the 2-day job would begin. He arrived on-time as did his workers. Mike did some necessary tractor work clearing and leveling the area, his crew set about making forms and creating rebar framework. The following day Mike and his team arrived promptly and began the pour and then finishing work. I couldn't be happier with the results and the experience of working with Mike and his crew was enjoyable. Very nice, honest and hard working people. The job site was thoroughly cleaned up before his departure. I highly recommend Michael Crum Concrete."
