"I work full-time and, although I like being out in the yard, I just don't have time for maintenance.
Over the 14 years I've lived in this house, I've been through more lawn service companies than I can count.  Payment was always a problem since I'm not home during the day.  The biggest problem was with companies who were not dependable.  Either I would have to call to remind them that the lawn needed mowing, or they just disappeared one day without a call or explanation.
All my problems have been solved with Johnson's Lawn Service.  Mr. Johnson came out to give me an initial estimate back in early spring and on the first visit to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction.  Since then, his crew arrives every two weeks like clockwork and does an excellent job in keeping my yard presentable.  Mr. Johnson took my credit card information on his first visit and charges my account after each visit.
Every business should be run in such a professional, organized manner.  If you need a dependable, honest landscaping company, you can count on Johnson's Lawn Service to meet your needs.
I am relieved of the burden of maintaining my yard.  Johnson's Lawn Service has been a godsend to me!

"Matt and his team are now our go to for any irrigation and lawn care services. We were more than pleased with the results of their sprinkler system install and appreciated how professional, friendly, and punctual they were during our project. One thing that impressed us the most was Mattâ s ability to heal the ground after the install was finished. Weâ ve had work done before with other contractors where it took months for our lawn to grow back and heal the scars from all the digging. After Matt and his team were done with our install, the impact was barely noticeable, and we had new grass growing back within weeks."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Brooks, GA

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
