"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"The shutter replacement went very well and everyone was very complementary about the new shutters. The laundry area door replacement ended up nice but I had/still have concerns. The source of the concern is that the original opening the old door hung in was not square. The installer ended up using a lot of filler to make it look right. So right now everything is great. I am a little concerned about the filled area over time."

"Annual service performed. In the past, there have been repairs that became known during the preventative service. Today there were none. Also, previously malfunctioning parts were almost always under warranty. When new parts are installed, they make sure I understand what the parts and service warranties are. <br />"

"We had attempted to replace a cracked shower drain cover ourselves, and ended up cracking the drain pipe. Based on my initial inquiry, uncertain if there was a little fix or if it would be a big project, Teri first responded by email suggesting a band-aid fix using caulk. I was extremely grateful for the suggestion. This is one of my favorite things about SHEcan2: that Teri will talk you out of a project that shouldn't be done, or help find the affordable solution, so that in the end you are happy with the final decision. The caulk didn't work to seal the drain, so she came out right away to take a look and give us a quote. At the same time we looked at a (related) mystery leak and discussed how to investigate that at the same time. Since our budget is constrained by child-care costs, I was very grateful that Teri made suggestions for how to keep the project more affordable, while achieving all objectives. I was also impressed and grateful that she was able to immediately get us scheduled, since I know that sometimes they are booked months out. At the start of the project there were a couple delays due to another project running over and a truck dying, but otherwise the work was done in 2 days + a few hours for the second coat of mud and texturing. We are very happy with the new shower surround and faucet. I only had two complaints. The first was that the discussion of the side objective of investigating our mystery leak did not get communicated clearly to the workman, so I had to bring it up to him directly. The second was cleanup: he put a drop cloth down on part of the bedroom carpet during part of the work, but it didn't prevent paster dust from his shoes being tracked through the house, and there was significant difficult-to-clean plaster dust on the carpet and smears of plaster on the bathroom floor."

"Gina Fazil inspected the vent lines, determined no air flow, gave an estimate and with our OK, she began to clean the lines. In the process, it was determined that there was a break in the line between two floors. She later returned in the afternoon with another technician and a video camera to determine where the break was. Once determined, it was necessary to cut a hole in the ceiling to gain access for the repair. We could easily tell it was an old break, not one caused by the vent cleaning. Two more breaks further down the line were discovered and another hole had to be cut in another area. These repairs were made in tight areas with the proper A/C vent tape. The original builder used duct tape. They made great efforts to make sure the job was done properly to ensure our future safety and they made good efforts at clean up."

"We have two big, young, active dogs who destroyed the backyard our first winter at the residence following the first rain. There was no drainage, and the backyard was transformed into a big mud hole. <br /> Our goal was to eliminate the dirt and mud, but also have an aesthetic backyard we could enjoy. <br /> Tim convinced us in our first consult that we could in fact have a nice backyard with dogs.  His team put in proper drainage with a beautiful stamped concrete patio. They landscaped the surrounding patio with various trees, shrubs and plants with mounded gold rock as the ground cover.  The team also constructed a nice shadow box fence and gate separating our garden area. In the garden, they built  two garden boxes and planted various fruit trees and covered the ground with  bark.  The entire backyard is on a timed drip irrigation system.  The entire project was done in one week while we were on vacation, so we returned to a transformed wonderful backyard.  <br /> However, it was not without its challenges thanks to our canines' youthful exuberance.  I found myself sweeping rocks off the patio twice a day.  Tim recommended we add bigger rock to the small rock.   He personally came out and spread the rock himself free of charge. This helped immensely.   Then about a month later, Tim came over on a Saturday and built a grape arbor in our garden area, again free of charge. <br /> Tim and his team were professional, reliable and they back their work. He truly cares about satisfying his customers.  We would not hesitate referring him or his team for any landscaping needs. <br /> Matt and Regina"

"After initially contacting two general contractors recommended by family and close friends; and waiting three weeks for promised estimates/bids that never materialized, I decided to give Angie’s List a try….a community of neighborhood contractor references. I quickly short-listed four general contractors (three of them from Angie’s List) with recent experiences in condo/apartment unit bathroom and vanity remodeling in/or near Alameda, CA. I selected London Restoration for the project: bathroom, hallway vanity and closet remodeling. Catching my eyes was London Restoration’s specialty in kitchen, bathroom and vanity cabinet-making. This review shares my experiences of London Restoration through initial contact; estimate/proposal/ bid; project execution; and completion and wrap-up. <strong>Initial Contact:</strong> Of the six total contractors I contacted for this project, only London Restoration answered with a “live person”. His name was Patrick, the office administrator for London Restoration. He took down my contact information and general summary of my proposed project. Two days later, I met with Dean Jensen (owner, general contractor, project manager) at the condo unit for a walk-through and detailed discussion of my proposed project. Immediate impression: responsive and timely. <strong>Estimate/Proposal/Bid:</strong> My initial face-to-face meeting with Dean Jensen was at the condo unit. He was on time; waiting for me at the Visitor Parking Lot. We discussed the project scope in detail; Dean took measurements and notes; and made design recommendations consistent with my design criteria: durability, longevity, and classic appearance. Within 24-hours, I received an email from Patrick with the proposal and estimate for the project. It was very nice of Patrick to give me a courtesy call on my cell that I have the project proposal in my email box. All other contractors required 1 to 1-1/2 week and a follow-up email from me to submit their respective bid. London Restoration’s bid was detailed and comprehensive including diagrams (the best of all bids received). Full transparency was provided with line-by-line costs. London Restoration’s bid was very competitive, but was not the least expensive of four bids received. I selected London Restoration because Dean was most creative with the bathroom and vanity cabinet design recommendations. His competitors provided standard, “pick it up at Home Depot/Lowe’s “cabinet recommendations. <strong>Project Execution:</strong> Project started immediately the following Monday. Hallmarks of London Restoration’s project execution: and middot; <em>Dean was expedient</em> securing the requisite permit with the City of Alameda; and scheduling of periodic inspections as the project progressed. Both Dean and Marvin established a respectful rapport with the building inspectors. They anticipated building inspector’s requirements and implemented them before it became a documented finding. and middot; <em>Punctual</em>. Dean (pm, cabinet-maker), Marvin (plumber, painter) and Imer (apprentice, painter) arrived between 8 to 8:30am each morning and worked until 5pm (unless ahead of daily schedule). and middot; <em>Kept work area clean and tidy</em> during and at the end of each day. and middot; <em>Focused</em>; often working through lunch; and did not take breaks. and middot; <em>Plumbing issues and challenges</em> were dealt with by Marvin quickly and calmly. A “cup is half-full” kind of guy. At the time of this writing, there is one outstanding issue being address. Will update this review accordingly. and middot; <em>Kept a working toilet</em> each evening for condo tenant throughout the project. and middot; <em>Dean, Marvin and Imer</em> were extremely conscientious of their workmanship throughout. and middot; <em>Highly communicative</em>. Each evening, Dean/Marvin reviewed accomplishments for the day and plans for the next day. and middot; <em>Dean demonstrated</em> great memory abilities. Every pre-contract discussion points were remembered and placed in execution at the proper time. I was impressed! <strong>Completion and Wrap-Up:</strong> Project estimated for three weeks; completed one week ahead of schedule. Project outcome attributes: and middot; <em>High quality</em> work results. and middot; <em>Bathroom and hallway vanity cabinets</em> are beautiful! Dean took the time to stain cabinets three times to obtain the desired color. and middot; <em>Prep-work and painting</em> of bathroom, vanity and trims were extremely professional. and middot; <em>Nice touches added</em>: corner soap caddy included with cultured marble shower/tub wall paneling; and back of vanity wood cut-outs for plumbing under each cabinets. and middot; <em>At project completion</em>, both Marvin and Imer polished the wood cabinets, wiped down the cultured marble vanity tops, and windexed the mirrors."
