"Jon and his crew did a great job on my roof. I appreciate the communication and the pictures he took as he was repairing my roof. Of all the quotes that I received, he was the only roofer that sat down with me went over the process and shared shingle samples. Jon provided exceptional service less than any other quote I received for my roof. I highly recommend IN-EX construction and Jon."

"Our new insurance company required a repair in a short time period. Neligan came right out, gave us an estimate and worked us in to their schedule so that we could meet our deadline! Their estimator, Nick, took great care to find a shingle color that would match our older roof and it came out great! They will definitely be putting our new roof on when the time comes."

"I initially called Mr. Duncan out to give me an estimate. I was not home at the time, but he was able to give me an estimate and email it to me. We were contemplating installing a skylight, but after learning from Mr. Duncan about the leaking issues with skylights we decided against it. <br /> <br /> It was several months before we were able to have the roof installed because we were waiting for our old house to sell. Once that house sold I called Mr. Duncan and asked him if they could squeeze us in over the New Year holiday while we were out of town. He told me that wouldn't be a problem, I just needed to choose my shingles, trim color, and sign some paperwork. <br /> <br /> Unfortunately, Mr. Duncan is not always the best at getting back with you. We finally got everything taken care of and were shocked on Friday, December 30th to suddenly hear BANG! BANG! BANG! (The installation was scheduled for when we were out of town since we have a toddler and infant and my husband works from home.) Evidently, Mr. Duncan forgot to tell us the materials would be delivered that Friday and that they pound nails supports into the roof so the materials can sit up where they are needed. It wasn't a huge deal, but my husband (who was on a conference call at the time) was shocked to hear the banging. <br /> <br /> When we arrived home we were happy to see our new roof was installed. Although, the next morning while lying in bed we heard BANG! BANG! BANG! above the garage. Mr. Duncan had neglected to let me know they had to wait on additional materials and had a little bit of work left to do the next day. <br /> <br /> Once everything was finally completed we received complements from the neighbors. I had asked Mr. Duncan for a wind mitigation report for applying for new homeowners insurance. It took a little longer than I would have liked for it to be delivered, and then my insurance needed photographs of the underside of the roof (from the attic) so it was a few more weeks to get that scheduled in (and Mr. Duncan was late for the meeting). <br /> <br /> I was very pleased with the work, but the communication could have been better. Of course, it might have been a little better if we were at home during the re-roofing."

"Jason and his family owned company Wallace Roofing are top notch. The roof replacement he did for us is a clear indication that he is a perfectionist and a craftsman who considers quality more important than speed. Jason and his wife both have great personalities, are easy to discuss ideas with and very customer service oriented. I highly recommend Wallace Roofing to anyone looking for professional roofing work, no matter how large or small the job. 5 stars"

"Ted Alesch Contracting installed and built a covering for a kitchen fan.  This was done as part of a roof replacement but the fan was a last minute add-on.  Alesch Contracting was friendly and responded to my request promptly.  Upon installation of the vent covering, Ted painted the covering and it looks great.  I am very happy with all services I've received from Ted Alesch and I will use him again for my remodeling needs.  I highly recommend this company. <br />"

"Our experience with BRC was excellent from start to finish. I received info and bids from multiple companies, but each of the others set off a warning bell of some sort. Jerry put me at ease from our first meeting and I appreciated he shared multiple options along with the pros and cons of each. Additionally, he worked with another contractor I had doing a repair to our fireplace so everything could be coordinated at the best time (fixing inside during tear off). The price for our roof was fair and it looks beautiful. Jerry was responsive any time I had a question. I would choose BRC again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Jerry!"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Bryceville, FL

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
