The job included designing/redoing our frontyard bed, installing downspouts, building a 330 square foot backyard patio bordered by a dry creek, installing natural stone steps leading up to the patio, and designing/executing new backyard landscape beds. Our backyard - which is on a slope and not a huge space to begin with - looks out onto a shared driveway. Given that, my wife and I struggled with how to create a sense of privacy in our backyard without having a fence installed. Of all the professionals we met with initially, Ben, our Project Manager and Connor, who did a lot of the design work, had the clearest vision of how to get it done. Both were mindful and in tune with what was important to my wife and I. Both were creative in working within the parameters of our space to deliver what is in my opinion, the very best job that anyone could have done. "We started service in July and I CANNOT tell that we have lawn service! Maybe they come by and spray, but my plants ALWAYS look like they require pruning (because they do), I see weeds after every service, there is always debris in the yard. It's a corner lot, but barely a yard and we can NEVER look at my yard and tell that they have been there for service on the scheduled day. A project was supposed to take place in Sept, which is almost over, not sure if or when that will start...DO not sign up for regular lawn maintenance; you will not be close to pleased!"

"Virginia Green has no process for training technicians properly. It's either that or technicians just don't care about work. Partially applied 6 applications for weeding and fertilizing and every time they miss large sections of my yard. This is the 3rd season at two different properties that they have done this. They over spray and kill your plants and garden due to lack of attention to detail. I lost all of my Squash and Cucumber plants due to their carelessness. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS OVERPRICED SERVICE FROM A BROKEN COMPANY."

"I had a great experience working with James, Donnell, and their team. We had sod installed in our yard and a stone retaining wall put in. James and Donnell were both prompt and professional in their communication and their crews did top notch work. The sod looks fantastic and is taking very well and I was very impressed by the stone work the main stone mason did to replace and repair our old dilapidated retaining wall. I would definitely work with the J&J team again!"
