"At the onset of the project, I sat down with Don and went over the plans and my expectations. I am an automotive engineer with 30 years of experience and I was really impressed with Don and his amount of experience, building skills, and extensive knowledge of construction techniques. What really sold me was when Don offered to text me photos of the project along the way on my cell phone. We collaborated on issues when there were questions. It was almost like I was right there, even though I was 400 miles away. Don really built us a quality home, strong enough to handle the heaviest snow loads in the snow belt of the lower peninsula. He once went the extra mile to plow our heavily snowed driveway just so I could get into our new house to review some of his work. He finished our shell with many extra personal touches that we added along the way. He made the changes we wanted and didn't try to talk us out of them just because it would be easier. All this was done in a very timely manner. We would highly recommend Don for his innovation, quality, cost, character, and timeliness. This guy is a real winner! We plan to use him for more upcoming projects."

"I recently sought help from Dr. Flue to repair a gap that had formed where mortar around my chimney had apparently eroded over time. From first contact with their office, to the final visit and completion of the work, my experience with Dr. Flue’s staff was exceptional… They took time to understand the issue and provide me a simple cost estimate; scheduled a time to come out and shot me a reminder a couple days ahead of the visit; then showed up on time and prepared. Once onsite, they confirmed the work we had discussed would address the issue I originally reported. Then pointed out some significant chimney flashing issues I was unable to see from the ground. These were a result of a recent, shoddy roof re-shingle job done by another contractor. I was impressed how they stayed objective and did not bad-mouth the roofers - just pointed out the issues and likely consequences I could expect if they were to go unaddressed. "The work was done almost 2 years ago and is holding up without any issues. It was done in the timeframe promised, done professionally and the finishing was excellent. I had flooring installed and developed an issue due to the installation. Both the owner and site leader recently came out and inspected the system to ensure there was no issue with the drain (there wasn't). This type of customer service is rare these days. I am very happy I had the system installed and appreciate the professionalism I have encountered with this company from the estimate, work, finishing and follow-up. Thank you!!"

"I received quotes from multiple companies and they were all comparable. All other companies spent approx 45 min looking at the house and taking measurements. Ayes spent 4 hours total at my home. Very comprehensive, professional and knowledgeable. My home required 21 Helix Piers which are much preferred to Push Piers. Matt was my contact person, Evan was on site. Just an excellent job all round. Evan team hit a main water pipe which caused a small leak in the basement. Matt drove 90 min to my home at 9pm arriving at 10.30 pm to ensure me they would fix the problem. The local water dept turned off the water, Matt spoke with them and had the bill taken care of. The next morning the pipe was repaired and we were off and running. Matt did not leave my home until after 11pm and a 90 min drive home. That is what I call customer service. Thank you Ayers for an excellent job. My family appreciated all your efforts."

"Overall I was extremely pleased and satisfied with the outcome. From a construction standpoint, everything was completed as requested. The quality of work was excellent and timely. The work was done in the winter months and the crew and work-site were kept very clean. The outcome was excellent and the addition turned out beautiful. <br /> But what made the most difference was Gary Harms himself. Unlike most builders, Gary is very customer focused and detailed orientated. He keeps you informed every step of the way so you don't have to wonder what is being done. He makes suggestions/recommendations along the way so that you can make sure the work that is completed is to your liking. He is always accessible and available when needed. This was very important for me because this is a cabin and I am not at the home regularly to inspect the work. With Gary you don't have to worry about what is going on, he will make sure you are informed, and most importantly, happy! He also did a lot of "custom" work that he suggested and all of it turned out fantastic. Much of it was done by Gary himself which proves his commitment to quality work.  <br /> I would recommend Harms Enterprises for any building/construction job!"

"From start to finish I could not be happier.   I had an idea (a rough idea) of what I wanted to do.    Dan sat with me (listened with patience) and helped me work through the details of my project, he talked to me about what was important and what was not... after he helped me design the building and details that went along with it.    Along the way he worked with me to make adjustments to the design, as well as offered ideas and solutions to reduce my cost (he saved me about 15%).   There were things I didn't think about when I put my plans in place, Dan communicated with me along the way allowing me to think through the changes as well as the pros/cons of doing so.   There were changes we made along the way that make a lot of sense now that the building is complete.   Amazing work!!! <br /> To find a builder who can complete the work start to finish, stay true to his commitments, and more importantly listen to you is not easy to find.   Dan fits this mold. <br /> I have worked with at least 10 builders in the last 20 years...   this is the first review I have written.   The reason I am writing this review is Dan did an awesome job!    From start to finish communication was great, the work was awesome, and the price was right.    With 100% confidence I would recommend Dan and Patriot Builders to take on a small project to building a high end 6,000 sq foot home.   I am attaching my personal cell phone if you would like to personally talk to me - Frank (913) 461-7217  I will be more then happy to show you the work he did. <br /> Dan, thank you!   Its nice to work with folks who get stuff done! <br />"

"I contracted Marc Todd himself and set up appointment for him to come over to measure and view the proposed project to provide me with an estimate. It was a little confusing at first, as he has a brother doing business as Jeff Todd Concrete. <br /> Marc Todd was very prompt, and came out the very next day after I made contact. I was very comfortable with him right from the first meeting. He was very kind, professional and just plain and simple, A VERY NICE MAN !! He listened well to what I wanted to achieve as far as an end result which also included troubleshooting an ongoing water problem. This water problem had not been solved by our last concrete contractor. Marc was very much more knowledgeable, and seemed to effortlessly troubleshoot and ultimately FIX the water problem. <br /> I asked him for references of prior jobs, and he gladly took me right to the places of other concrete pours that he had done. I was extremely impressed with not only the amount of concrete work he had poured in my area and the excellent looking work he had preformed, but was most impressed with how well liked he was by his previous customers. All of them greeted him like he was a longtime friend or family member. I knew when you have that kind of rapport with people you can't go wrong. And I was right as I am now one of his satisfied customers that truly look forward to running into him and getting a chance to visit. <br /> I had four estimates done all together, and his was not the cheapest , but it was no the most expensive either. His price was within reason when compared to the others. I feel that I actually got a much better job than I would have going with someone else for sure. You get what you pay for and in this case I feel like I got a bit more. <br /> He did an <strong><em>excellent</em></strong> job on my project and more. It is gorgeous. He actually came up with a few better design solutions than I originally had planned. AND NO MORE WATER PROBLEM. He stayed within in his original estimate, even though he made a upgraded change that would be better for my situation. He completed the work on time as well and worked hard at "fitting me into his schedule" as I had a party planned that I needed it completed by. He was TERRIFIC to work with. The best contractor I have EVER done business with actually. By the time he finished his job our whole family just loved him !! A GREAT PERSON that really cares !! <br /> I will be using him again next summer for another project we are now planning. I have recommended him since to some friends of mine, and they are just as pleased with their whole experience and with MARC TODD CONCRETE AND MARC TODD AS WELL. I recommend him 100% and I am a very "fussy" customer to please. <br />"
