"This whole move was pretty unprofessional and not done well. First, we were supposed to move on 3/20 but were told at 5pm that they will be unable to move us and that the best they can do is come the next day. We had booked the service elevator and loading dock for that day, and had consistently reached out during the day to confirm when the movers will be there. The next day, because this was not the day we should have moved, the service elevator and dock were booked by someone else. When I let them know that the only other alternative is to use the stairs for bigger furniture and regular elevator for boxes, we were told the move will take much longer and we will be charged more. Which makes sense, but again how is that our fault if the move was done day before (when it should have been). Thankfully, we were able to use the dock and service elevator which allowed us to get things done. Overall, I was not impressed with the service or the move itself."

FAQs for in-state moving service projects in California, MD

Laws differ from state to state, but the number one rule is that you cannot move a mobile home on your own. You have to hire a licensed mobile home moving company. While each state is different, you’ll also have to research HUD codes, permits, and other laws specific to the area to ensure your move follows all necessary regulations.

Yes, a permit is required to move a mobile home. You must secure permits in the state of origin and in every state through which the mobile home passes. When moving across state boundaries, obtain a permit for each state. Your moving company assists in acquiring all required permits, ensuring strict compliance with local regulations during the entire relocation process.

No, you cannot move a mobile home built before 1976. Mobile homes constructed before 1976 do not meet current safety standards and must not be relocated. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development enforces strict guidelines that prevent moving older models. Verify the build year and comply with all HUD regulations to ensure safety and legal compliance.
