"Jon and his crew arrived ahead of originally estimated date and got right to work removing 2 medium size trees and brush along property line. Large evergreen hedge along driveway was trimmed back nicely.....no more scratches when backing down driveway. Gathered and shredded downed tree lmbs and did a nice job of cleaning up any debris. Would have liked to see brush cut to ground level but it was in a difficult to access area on side Hill. All in all though, very pleased with their work. Hard working and professional."

"Troy with TWC was very responsive, professional, and talented. We had a large-sized tree break off and fall on our backyard fence. He was not only able to quote us same day, he offered a competitive price and was able to bring heavy duty equipment same day and complete the tree removal with precision and expertise. Will absolutely hire TWC again and highly recommend them to others!!"

"July 9, 2023 The tree removal project on my property in my opinion, separates the tree cutters from the tree surgeons. A 60 plus foot tree (honey maple), with a bifurcating trunk diameter of 36 to 40 inches, and branches—thin and thick, extending 40 feet around, and over my house required expert attention and skill. All of the previous tree contractors I interviewed required rigging and roping procedures. Ken Fisher III—LumberJack Tree Service took the job and performed it himself with his thirteen year old son supervising on July 8, 2023. His pricing was great, a thousand plus dollars cheaper than his competitors. His communication skills were straight forward and dependable. Ken Fisher of LumberJack Tree Service is at the prime of his chosen profession. And at the level of a tree surgeon, not just a tree cutter. His skill level in my opinion, incorporates three tree removal specialists. Ken Fisher III is a one man crew of three. He brought his thirteen year old son, Ken the 4th (they really like the name Ken) to supervise and make sure that his dad doesn't slack off. Ken the 4th, is fortunate to have a dad like Ken the 3rd. I don’t need years of experience in the tree removal business, to assess and determine when a professional is at the top of his craft. I have enough life experience to qualify me. It was exciting and a joy watching Ken perform his expertise, never compromising safety. Roque Lachica Jr. Hometown, PA"

"I rarely review products and services but I felt these guys deserved a few minutes of my time. I had a fairly large tree I needed removed in my back yard. Got 3 quotes, A & J being the best of the 3. Within a week they had the tree and stump removed. A & J did a quick, professional job and an excellent job of cleaning up. I'm very satisfied with the results and would highly recommend them."

"I live in a woody parcel of land, with various tall hard woods. I complete most of my tree removals myself; however, when trees are leaning towards my house, I contract Darwin. One of Darwin's strongest attributes is listening to preferences. I burn firewood, so leaves all the trunk wood for me to section myself and also keeps my costs within my budget. Frequently, Darwin has suggested alternative options that either have reduce the cost or have a more appealing appearance. I have had him do work for my 80- year old grandma, removing over 35 pine trees. He is always prompt, polite and a quick worker."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Camp Hill, PA

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
