"I have to preface this entry with the fact that I NEVER write reviews, so the fact I m actually taking the time to do this should tell you all you need to know. If you want details, please proceed... Marty was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He came by between other jobs the day before the install to talk through the process and answer all of our questions. He was candid, clear, and very professional. Marty and his team showed up on time and after a brief review of the process, jumped right into the job at-hand. Marty s team included his son and three other young men. They were all polite, friendly, and professional as well. They completed the install in under 4 hours. We had some other work being done on the roof and he coordinated with us to make sure all of fit together perfectly. I highly recommend Marty and his team! Additionally, Marty has installed lightning rods in many homes within my community and everyone that I ve talked to has echoed my thoughts. Thank you Marty + Team"

We are A-1 Plus Electrical, a Company committed to our client's projects and needs. David Saldana is a master electrician you can trust, with more than 20 years of experience in the electrical field. Our team has built a solid reputation in the community for our outstanding attention to detail and superior customer service.
"Helper and Electrician showed up. The electrician could not speak English. The helper could understand him and translated for the electrician. I had three specific jobs to accomplish 1. install dimmable lights over the shower. 2. install an outlet between the vanity sinks. 3. Remove and install a ceiling fan in the adjacent bedroom. Job 1. Got up in the attic and pulled the electric from a nearby ceiling fan. Lights were mounted and they looked fine. When I asked if they were dimmable, the english speaker said yes. Problem 1. The ceiling fan they tied into had a non dimmable ceiling light. So they installed a non-dimming switch in the wall. This mean that the ceiling fan light could not be turned on, and the ceiling lights over the shower had to be non-dimmable. Not acceptable. Job 2. Install electric outlet in a towel shelf above and between the sinks for a small Alexa TV. The English speaker called me in, and said they had to pull wire from a nearby spotlight over one of the sinks. The assistant called me in again and said that they were going to cut a hole in the sheetrock and would not repair the sheetrock. I said, OK. Problem 2. The spotlight was on a dimmer switch, and since this was a 110 outlet being hooked in, they simply replaced the dimmer with a conventional wall switch. Not acceptable. Job 3. Since the installers were running behind, they postponed the ceiling fan installation until last. Problem 3. They finally got to the fan, and found that there was no installation screws or other parts: Just the fan and the blades. So they said they could not install and for me to call when I could get a fan they could put up. Not necessarily their problem, but I was not informed until they wanted to leave. Now I have Job 1, pulled from a ceiling fan in the attic. And now I cannot use a dimmer because the ceiling fan has a custom light bulb which cannot be dimmed. And now I cannot dim the lights over the shower without getting a ladder up and manually dimming whenever I want. Thanks a lot, guys. Job 2 pulled from a dimmable switch. Their solution is to change out the switch, which kept me from dimming the over-the -vanity lights. There were other lights which could have been tapped, including lights that were wired into a switch on the adjacent wall. Did not ask. They just did the easiest thing. Job 3. I still do not have the ceiling fan installed, but with the work I received so far, nothing will happen until they show me how they are going to fix Problem 1 and Problem 2 resolved. Oh, and by the way, repeated calls to the company office resulted in NO return calls. Yesterday, the email brought a letter that said they were drafting my account for the balance. Where is Home Advisor standing on this recommended vendor."

The modern suburban and small town home of today has become an ideal lightning target. The home owner would do well to recognize lightning for the destructive force that it is and protect against this major life and fire hazard. Donohue's Lightning Rods is based in Missouri, near the factory where most of the residential and commercial lightning rod supplies are manufactured. Jim travels regularly to Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New York. Call today to find out when Jim will be in your area. For installations outside Missouri, Kansas, or Texas, Jim waits until there are a few customers lined up, thus being able to provide the same quality services at affordable prices. **WE DO NOT DO ELECTRICAL SERVICES.** (ONLY LIGHTNING RODS)
"We were contacted immediately regarding adding a lightning protection system on our home. Seamus was very thorough and knowledgeable regarding our concerns. He and his crew showed up and were very professional and efficient. We are very pleased with the installation and highly recommend Donahue’s."

"I couldn?t be happier with the work Heath Jennings at Jennings Electric did in my shop! From start to finish, Heath was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. He handled all the electrical wiring and installed the lighting with exceptional skill and attention to detail. Not only was the quality of the work outstanding, but Heath also took the time to explain everything clearly, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure everything was done safely and up to code. The lighting setup has completely transformed the space ? it?s brighter, more functional, and looks fantastic. Heath was punctual, efficient, and respectful of my time and property. It?s rare to find someone who takes so much pride in their craft, and it truly shows in the results. I highly recommend Jennings Electric to anyone looking for top-notch electrical work ? you won?t be disappointed!"

A standard electrical meter riser replacement takes an average of two to three hours for the actual installation work, though the entire process may span a full day. This timeline includes coordination with your utility company for power disconnection and reconnection, the physical replacement work, and any required inspections. Weather conditions and permit processing can affect the schedule. Plan for a day without electrical service while the work is being completed.
The homeowner is responsible for maintaining and replacing the electrical meter riser and related components on their property. While your utility company owns and maintains the actual meter and the service lines leading to your home, everything on your side of the connection point—including the weatherhead, riser pipe, and meter base—falls under your responsibility. This division means that when damage occurs or upgrades are needed, the homeowner bears the cost of replacement.
Yes, your power must be disconnected during an electrical meter riser replacement. Since this work involves your home's main electrical service entrance, the utility company will need to disconnect power at the service drop before the electrician can safely begin work.
This outage lasts for several hours while the replacement is completed and inspected. Make appropriate arrangements for perishable food items and consider alternative accommodations if the weather is extreme.
If you're simply replacing a damaged meter riser without changing your electrical service capacity, you can often keep your existing panel. However, if you're upgrading from a lower amperage service to a higher one, you'll likely need to upgrade your electrical panel as well. Many electricians recommend evaluating your entire electrical service during riser replacement, as combining these projects can be more cost-effective than completing them separately.
