"Very short version: I'd use WadeCo again. Newly completed work appears to have been done well, professionally and competently. Of course, the real test is how the roof will stand up in future years, and from the work done I do not expect any issues - in any case, I have confidence that if issues come up, they will be resolved. Replacing a roof (1) costs a lot of money (2) can be a surprising upheaval given the potential for mess, nails and noise, and - most important - (3) can be an expensive disaster for your house if not done right, so it is worth doing a little homework. I started by asking for recommendations from friends, as well as looking here on Angie’s List. I obtained several bids, seeking the best value not necessarily the lowest price, and checked references. Using a local company was important to me as it keeps money in our community and you know where to find the local business if there’s a problem. Pricing was agreed, tile grade & color chosen, insurance papers provided, and a schedule set. The crew arrived on time, with all needed supplies, everything checked out by the supervisor. The old roofing tiles etc were removed, the new installed, with no surprises, no damage, no drama, at a reasonable pace – pleased that no-one was rushing MY job to get a the next one. Some errors in the previous roof installation were pointed out, and the problems rectified. Clean up was excellent, the work site left very tidy, no trash, nothing left behind. The payment process was made easy. Throughout the process, the site supervisor kept me informed which I appreciated. Tip: no matter how carefully the crew cleans, there will be some nails left behind. Borrow, or buy a cheap, magnetic sweep, especially if you have kids or pets."

"I contacted Mr. Ali in order to have him give an estimate for vinyl siding for our home. He arrived promptly and gave a very thorough presentation to show he was fully insured. He showed pictures of his work, awards and commendations he has received and the names of references. He showed samples of the product he would use, patiently answered all of my questions and gave his input when asked about possible colors that would go with our brick. His quote was comparable to the other quote I received, but I decided to go with Mr. Ali because I felt that he was an honest and fair businessman. I was not disappointed. He was in constant contact with me and his workers during the installation. He came to inspect the work and answered any questions that I had. The workers were wonderful and the job was completed in the amount of days that was estimated. The siding looks even better than expected! "Pros: Bear's Cajun Roofing gave us a reasonable estimate and pricing. We did end up spending about $120.00 out of pocket above the estimate. The owner is very reasonable with setting up means of payment ensuring that no one is being conned. The owner takes pride in his work and the roof looks great. It was installed during very rainy weather and so far no leaks. He did eventually complete the job to our satisfaction. Also did a great job with clean-up. Cons: If you are looking for a roofer that is punctual, efficient, and completes the job in a timely manner, then Bear's Cajun Roofing is not the company for the job. In all fairness, we had lots of cold and rainy weather that interfered with the installation, but even on the days that weather permitted we never knew if or what time the workers would show up. Bear's Cajun Roofing definitely doesn't have set hours to work. It took 3 weeks for work to be completed, which was very frustrating."
