Tim came to our house reviewed our insurance papers with us and made sure we were comfortable with the work they were going to perform. He took extra time and drove us by some houses he completed earlier to help us decide on a couple shingle colors. Once we made our choice they did everything they could possibly do to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were up front with cost and explained that nothing but the best would be acceptable. I highly rate Des Moines Are Roofing to anyone looking for a high quality roofing company."

"Very professional. Sonntag replaced the roof due to age and then we got the hailstorm and we again called them to take care of it. Tyler has been excellent in going thru everything each time. Pictures were taken and submitted to the insurance company. The crew was very good and finished each time the same day. The hail damage also included damage to guttering which they took care of. They did an excellent job with the clean-up. I would recommend Sonntag Roofing to family and friends."

"I received several quotes from several companies, but I ultimately decided on Ludwig Roofing for several reasons: <br /> The first thing I did before receiving quotes was contact the roofing supplier in Des Moines and ask for recommendations from the supply company. The supplier recommended 3-4 companies and Ludwig was one that he mentioned because Ludwig has been roofing in Des Moines for a long time. Ludwig was also highly recommended on BBB and Angie's List. Every company that I get a quote from must have a decent review on BBB and Angie's List. <br /> After receiving the quote, Ludwig was right in the middle of all the others. Having an uncle that is a roofer in another city, I knew about what my roof should cost, and Ludwig gave me exactly what I thought it would be. Im not the type of person that is going to accept the cheapest quote and I am definitely not going to accept the most expensive. I like the middle and thats what Ludwig gave me. <br /> One thing that was another concern for me was the satellite that I had on my roof. With no extra charge, Ludwig had a satellite guy come reinstall and realign my dish after the new roof was put on. Ludwig even came out one week later to make sure the satellite was properly screwed in and waterproofed so that I would have no leaks from the satellite installation. <br /> All-in-all, I had an excellent experience with Ludwig roofing, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof. My two-story house took one day for them to finish."

"Arpy's did my siding, soffits, facia, gutters, replaced two windows, and cut in two new windows. Each day of the project the crew showed up to the job site on time and were very professional. At the end of each day they cleaned up my driveway, so I could park in it.. as well as cleaned up my deck and yard so i had no fear of my dogs stepping on a nail or something sharp. I'm very happy with the completed job, and would definitely recommend them to anyone."

"I was very pleased with the work Judd Penny and his crew did on our house. His assessment of problems included addressing original construction flaws as well as fixing more recent inadequate roof repair work done by another contractor. Judd's familiarity with and appreciation of old house "character" was evident when he first came over to look at the job and weighed heavily in the decision to choose Mid-States for our restoration project. The work was completed for the quoted price, accommodating a number of "surprises" along the way that inevitably arise with work on old houses, like those mentioned in other reviews. Our job took longer than initially projected but to me that just seems to be the nature of the beast. Alternatives and options were clearly explained throughout the process, when decisions needed to be made to complete repairs needed but still keep within budget. I do not hesitate to recommend contacting Mid-States for home maintenance and improvements work. We will be using their services again."

"After having a few negative experiences with contractors, what a surprise to work with a company that seems to do everything well. Albert came out to my house to give an estimate and I was sold almost immediately. Albert told me about my current shingles and that there had been a class action lawsuit. He offered to help me if I wanted to go after the company and then proceeded to tell me that I could probably get by for a couple of years if I wanted to go that route. I was so impressed with his knowledge and honesty that I decided to just pull the trigger and have them replaced. Albert told me that it would take three days. The first day there were 30mph winds so it wasn't safe for the crew to start work. Albert kept me in the loop and said they would start the next day. The job ended up taking two days including cleanup. The crew probably spent 3 hours cleaning up and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. Albert then followed up and spent an hour or so checking on their work and also doing another pass of cleaning up the nails. Replacing a roof is expensive and not an exciting way to spend your money but Action Roofing did a great job and I would highly recommend using them for roofing issues."
