PSE said that it would cost me $5,000 if stump removal loosened the tension cable. I required Sound Stump Removal to explain their exact process and convince me that they tension cable would not be loosened, and they did, which included manual sawing around the tension cable. "Henry, the owner, was quick to respond and come out and give me an estimate. His price was better than the previous estimate. Once we agreed upon the price he said he could group my job with another job the next day. I came home from work the next day to find nothing done. I had to call Henry and he explained the other job needed utilities marked so he would get to my job next week. Wednesday of the next week comes around and I have heard nothing from him. I called him but was unable to leave a voice mail because his mailbox was full. I text him and he said they would be out tomorrow. They did show up and did the job as expected. The stump was not cut as low to the ground as I expected and I asked for it to be done lower. Henry said his chainsaw guy did the best he could without ruining a chain. I feel like he just wants us to pay for a stump grinding by leaving it that way. Overall, they cleaned up the site well afterwards but the communication should have been better."
