"We are happy with the quality of the pool, but not happy with the experience of working with Midwest. They did not communicate or coordinate well, and they made decisions on our behalf (like what tile to install in the pool) without consulting us. Mistakes were made with the concrete surround and their attitude seemed to be 'oh well'. It seems like the only reason we were actually able to get them to complete all of the work was because we withheld final payment until everything was complete."

"Unsatisfactory and disappointing experience – Initially signed contract 13-Sep-2018 for completion mid-October. Final installation delayed twice due to missing components, pushing actual completion to 25-Nov-2018. Raised concerns about various fencing and gate alignments; told these would be adjusted in Spring 2019 – Reached out multiple times via phone and email beginning in April. Forkel ultimately arrived unannounced on 15-Jul-2019, correcting only two of the three gateways. Was informed they would not adjust the fencing; nor center the third gate over the walkway pavers. Forkel then called me a “nitpicker” for questioning the quality of their workmanship – I’m not a happy camper!"

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Caro, MI

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
